I like Jean Rollin's films in theory, rather, I want to always like them....when you actually watch them though...they're such a bore.

His work is better presented in film books. You get the cool stills, your read what the plot is, save yourself some time.
That, or they make really good experiential viewing. Like watch at 03:00 AM when you've been up for 24 hours and are coming down from way too much caffeine.

Lol, understood..have become a reading junkie anyways..better than staring at a screen...for me at least, now...a true escape is threw a good novel that stays with you like some archetype film actor you vicariously walk with inspired....

On the subject of movies that get better with cheap Whisky, I've gone full circle and kinda unironically enjoy Ghost In The Shell 2017.

It's pretty bad, but sometimes neon dingy bars and Robot girls shooting people in the head is all you need

I started watching a spiderman parody called "spider babe" on amazon and then realized it was soft core porn. The non-fucking parts were so goofy and funny I just fast forwarded through the fleshy bits till I got to more shitty acting.
