i mean, this all started because i was under the assumption this was a functioning correctly, just horribly designed pedal. because that's what he told me. i feel bad having something out there saying "this piece of shit sounds like THIS PIECE OF SHIT" if it's based off a fucked box.

Seriously dude was a dick, he changed his website to be able to back his side up with the paypal dispute. He was ready to fuck you. Any fallout that he receives is his own fault. If you didn't have a strong presence on a few forums he wouldn't be offering all of this.

This guy is only changing his tune because of blowback since we all love Behndy. It wan't an honest mistake. If it was someone that didn't have a voice that people listen to (a sexy voice at that), then they would just be fucked by Luck Duck dude. BEHNDY HAS FRIENDS THAT GIVE A SHIT. Chet's right, at this point he's trying to make it better. it might be to cover his ass (probably), it might be because he's now realizing how he shouldn't treat people (less likely)... so. i don't like being douchey if i can help it. if he there's even a little chance he IS honestly trying to change something he did wrong for the right reasons, i don't want to throw it back in his face.

and this is such a minuscule point in this whole blow up, but i do feel a little odd trashing somebody's work based off a broken pedal. granted, he told me it was ok so.... that's more on him then me. but if he does a better design (or the current design sounds way better when functioning properly), i'd feel more comfy having a vid out there showing that as well.

I didn't know that. I would still take the offer though. Not sure what I would do with the replacement pedal. I don't think you owe him a new demo though Ben, not that he's even asking. I wouldn't do him any favors personally. I would just accept the refund and if anyone wants to know what happened they should read this thread

Yeah it is silly in the grand scheme of things. At least you aren't getting screwed out of money. I see that you did what I would have done, which is tell everybody when he said it wasn't broke and no refund for you.
I just hate when people get treated bad by businesses, especially friends.
Businesses lives and die by their rep, as well as a whole lot more.
And like you said, so many small builders put their heart and soul into their pedals and having happy customers that I was shocked by this guy.

Still, I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OF HIS PEDALS, I think we saw his true colors.
