yeah guys if u wanna talk book spoilers please just say so before you go NSFW
this is NOT a book spoiler, i have no time to read seven tomes
this is an episode 10 season 3 spoiler tho
ok so when sam put the dragonglass dagger in the whitewalker, he didnt take it out. unless i am missing something. the body shattered and fell to the ground. never did see him pick it up off the snow. yet in the season finale he gave the dagger to Brans party. along with the arrowheads which had not been seen prior
im not bitching, i love the show, im mostly curious if i missed sam picking up the dagger

^I was thinking the same thing. I think he found more than one but never showed them all. That'd be my guess.
Also, I'm going to throw a party right after Joffery is murdered or tortured or pissed on or whatever bad thing is bound to happen to him. I have no idea what is going to happen to him but I fucking hate him so much so I hope it's terrible.

In Season 2, Ghost (Jon's Direwolf) leads Sam to and digs up a bundle of dragonglass daggers and arrowheads. He has been carrying these since he left the Fist of the First Men. So dropping one was not a big deal.

Episode 8/Season 2
BTW/Knowing this stuff ups your nerd cred, not your hipster cred. The only place knowing GoT lore is going to get you laid is at the Renaissance Faire...

I soooo wanted to see Coldhands. Also, I was disappointed by the Black Gate. It would have been cool to see a Weirwood tree open it's mouth for them to walk through, though probably too much trouble.
I began reading the books in February and I started ADWD a couple days ago. I must say it was one of my better decisions in life

The show is great, but

I love you so much. Please stay around and hate on shit with me.

EDIT: Also man srs what the fuck happened to strong belwas?????? OH OH AND LIKE notice how Meera is kindof just a retard in the show? Big letdown. What happened to her being an adolescent love interest for bran? That aspect of the books really got me. Shes a reminder that hes leaving all aspects of his humanity behind on his march to become a greenseer. Not that he could do much about it.....do you think his dick even works? I found myself wondering about that... AND THE PART WITH JON AND YGRITTE PARTING? WHAT THE FUCK. Could they have bungled that any more? Why not just make it exactly like it was in the books.....is it because they realized they totally marginalized their romance? Is he even going to kill her now??? Theyll probably have him take her prisoner and then theyll move to hogwarts and change their names to james and lilly potter. God i fucking hate the show.

This is basically what every critique of the show I've heard so far boils down to. Man, sci-fi and fantasy geeks sure do love to insist on canon

Well, jeez, I wouldn't go THAT far. I still love the show and it beats any other show I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, I like the differences. It gives people reason to read the books (as if they needed any more).
Strong Belwas is pretty minor if you ask me, although the taking a shit scene would have been hilarious!

Wait till someone tries to bastardize Elric. You havent seen shit yet...
Its not that it isnt canon that annoys me.....its that its changed, to its detriment, for no reason....I just dont understand what the point of it was.
Whats started to annoy me so much about the show is that its been assigned exceedingly more import than the books. This is significant in that the book series is not finished, and we could quite likely see the story end in the series before we have the chance to flesh out georges vision as it was originally intended. There are literally people refusing to read the books because it might RUIN THE SHOW for them. This kind of this boggles my mind. In the past movie and television adaptations have served as fun springboards into people exploring books and getting into reading but with Song of Ice and Fire its like people have completely closed their minds. I guess i can sum it up succinctly with the opening of this interview, in which the interviewer thanks martin for CREATING A TV SERIES.
