DOES anybody know why there are no Malekko Bits to be found anywhere? i know they've had weird stuff with certain builds, but i thought the Omnicron series was pretty regularly available? and the Bit was one of the better in that line.

murrrrrrrr?

Dude. I know you hate the Geiger Counter for some reason, but have you tried one tuned to bass??? Or better yet, have you looked into an Ugly Face? It's similar to a bit crusher. It does have some bleed like the sucker you hate, but not nearly as bad. I can send you the one I built if you like and you try it out. Doesn't get the 8 bit sounds, but it gets lots of other wackiness.

Have you tried one of the Bass Mod Geiger Counters?

BITS. GIVE ME THEM DIRTY BITS GRRL.

Chiefy - aweeeesome. waiting on a check to clear than i order that little bitch. thannnnnnnks!

jWaRj - naw. i kinda hate the Geiger. i had 2 different ones and they're way too finicky. it's a cool pedal that does loads of stuff, but i have a super basic need. just the SRR. that's all i want. i don't really like Crushing that much on bass. GIMME THAT SRR THOUGH.

thanks for the offer pimp! but i know the good SRR sound.... and that's all i really want for that spot. want it HARD.

I asked this when I was at Old Town music last week. Hank told me Josh is remaking the circuit. Hence why there are not many to be found.

Yes and LOVED it. I sold it at the time to fund something else, but I'd really like to have one again.

innnnteressssting. i might just stay with the Mooer until that's ready. does anybody know if Malekko will ship out custom stuff? or are they too big time for that? i'd LOVE to have a Bit where everything's not wired straight to the board. which you kinda HAVE to do with those small ass boxes. i'm gonna have it rehoused if possible anyways. a Bit that doesn't do the volume/tone drop in a (i forget the model number, the shorter and slightly thinner) vert box with too mount jacks? YESH PLEASE.

then. y'know. pimped by Danno. OF COURSE.

annnnnnnd just got back that PayPal sided with him. he's claiming it's not that noticeable and it talks about the carrier signal on his site and he OFFERED ME A PARTIAL REFUND such a sweetie and "i'm a small builder" boo hoo whatevah. just emailed to see if there's a way to protest that or give them more information. WHATEVAH.

don't even care about the money anymore really. just irks me that he got over on me and this is some weird validation that he's right. ugh.

Soooooo; a while back I traded some gear that I don't even remember for a five year old M-Audio Mobile Pre USB. My buddy gave me an old MK-319 Mic. I'm gonna go out and pick a used SM57 for less than $40 at a pawn shop; and I downloaded the trial version of Reaper and began to learn how to use it. So the moral of the story is; I'm about to be setup to do some dirty recordings. Mainly just want to use it as a songwriting and arranging tool; but I'm having fun and seeing the potential.

Also gonna start collaborating with a buddy of mine on some Stonery/Doomy/Rock/Metal/Drone. He's a guitarist and I'll probably do all the other tracks; bass, drums, etc etc.

I've been really diggin on Baroness lately so it may be just a rip off of that vibe with some QOTSA mixed in. Too many bands around here tend to favor the more mainstream metal and it seems like most of these guys around here are just not on top of their gear or their tone.

I get burned out on gigs pretty easily so my plan is to be patient and get a solid set of songs together put some demos together; sort out gear for recording and gigging and then start playing the bar scene around town in the next year or so.
