I know you don't want to out the builder and everything but I kind of want to know who/what it is so I know to avoid them...

i'm waiting on his response to my email response to his I Don't Do Refunds Fuck Off email, depending on how he handles that.....

i will say what the pedal is and who makes it after it's wherever it goes, just want to wait to see if it ends with an "i didn't like it but he took care of me and refunded my money" or "this asshole basically stole money from me".

it IS Luck Duck Pedals, the 8 Bit Duck. it's a gawd awful piece of shit. there's carrier bleed that's almost as loud as the instrument signal being passed through. so when it's clicked on, there is ALWAYS a huge annoying whine. fucking useless.

i emailed him something like "hey! when i use it it sounds like this - [audio clip of vreeeeeeeeRRRRARRRRRHHH]. is mine broken? if it's designed like this it's not going to work for me, how do i go about getting a refund?". his response was, "yep! [pedantic explanation of how SRR's work]. i don't do refunds.". i emailed again, said i was being polite, this thing SUCKS. not a threat, but i'm gonna have to let people know how truly awful it and your customer service is. he came back and offered me a refund.... minus 30%.

fuck off. i'd rather eat the $100 if PayPal doesn't cover me and be able to talk about how shitty he and his pedals are.

ugh. i know. and like, if this was a custom thing, i'd understand the no refunds thing. i still wouldn't be happy and would want the builder to work with me on fixing it. but at least i'd get the no refunds. but this was just the normal stock model he offers on his site. it's fucking USELESS. lol. i guess if i wanted to start a noise band of pure horrible sounds it'd be.... cool?

he just completely blew me off, talked down to me, then when i bristled offered to do me the favor of keeping a third of the money i spent and taking it back.
