I think I'm going to try and sell my Chameleon. Power supplies hold their value really well, so I won't lose any money. I've had it for three years now anyway, so I've got my monies worth out of it. I'll just pick up another DC-10 or something else.goroth wrote:I've got a feeling Ryan couldn't get rid of the noise from the t-Rex in the noise thread on the dr sci sub forum. Guess it's just not in the same class as some of the other higher end units.Holy Schnikes wrote:Yeah, that 18V seems to be the root of that supply's problems. I also had to keep it away from the board which drove me fucking nuts. Both the Voodoo Labs and CIOKS stuff has always gone directly beneath my board, extremely close to dirt and fuzz pedals, and neither have suffered from noise due to that placement.
So much awesome Subdecay.proroby wrote:
I've had a 4 day weekend this past weekend and spent a ridiculous amount of it hunched over this trying different ordering and pedal placements. I'm loving this and will be sticking with it. Not too happy some more of my fuzzes didn't make it on here, particularly my tonebender clone and my oscillating fuzz. I really really love the DPC5, even though it's got the brightest fucking led ever.

That is the best description of the Death Metal's feedback I've heard so far! That thing is insaneQuiet Things wrote:I don't know that I'll ever be able to get rid of my Death Metal. I feel like the kind of feedback it generates is created by some sort of special screeching imp that can't be duplicated by anything else.
This is one of the primary reasons it never leaves my setup, haha. Also at lower volumes it has a really nice, washed out dirt sound to it.PumpkinPieces wrote:I love how the death metal oscillates when you crank the eq knobs.

Haha, I only play wearing my Stan Smiths !space6oy wrote: frenchy that instantly had me picturing you playing the KP3 with your big toe.
