I spent $1001 dollars on my Laney to get that sweet solid state high gain sound.
We'll need video.

I'm sure someone spent over a grand on a new Laney, but I'm just busting ballz.

I got mine in a pile of cheap gear from craigslist, guy insisted it was a Peavey head, though it clearly says "made in England by Laney", and got it for cheaps, even with repair tech and parts. Did buy it for the crazy gain it puts out though!

It's funny cause he started following me on Instagram yesterday. I didn't know who it was, but then I saw the two Bugera heads and the couch with the tissue and knew it was him haha

Old SS rocks and even usually has some mojo caps in it.
I love tubes and such but.......think about it, fuzz isnt tube and most of us here are using some sort of dirt pedal.

the thing I like about tubes only occurs at high volume. More volume = sounds better.
Solid state can sound great but kinda reaches a volume point where it's not going to sound better if turned up more.

Might be. I'm not the upmost familiar with Traynor's heads as far as pricing. Just roughly. That kinda what I've seen but it's not like I've seen the YBA 3 all that often. usually it's the Yba or Yba1

Yeah seems a little rarer. The one I'm most interested in given the wattage though. That one was just serviced too sounds like. "Wish I could." Gonna get those words tattooed on me somewhere *sigh*
