that's nice I'd need a new one, too. The one I'm using has turned awful meanwhile the two and a half years I've been away.

an old and dear friend of mine who i've known since i was 16 called me up the other night and says that he's tired of living in Miami, where he moved from our mutual home town of Chicago 18 months ago, and wants to move out here and start a band with me. though it worries me a bit that he might need more from me than i can give him, i'm really excited about the idea because we worked together for years and i love him very much. just having the opportunity to visit with him in person regularly would be a treat. i'm not sure how serious he is about the idea, but we'll see. between this and the discussions i've been having with my friend who tours as the drummer in Melvin Seals' JGB, this could be a very interesting year.
