Bass VI showed up yesterday. So very good, such a unique instrument, really comfortable to play and the Custom Shop pickups sound HUGE! Probably gonna sell my bass soon cuz this thing is the perfect guitarist's bass, like the ultimate in betweener.

So... I'm probably not going to do this, but there's a '66 Fender Electric XII on my local CL and I'm somewhat considering offering my '69 Comp Stang as trade bait for it. The Stang is super cool and I'm pretty fond of it, but the fact is that it isn't quite
the guitar for me. So it's tempting for me to trade it for something else cool that I'll likely never have a chance to own otherwise. And if I don't fully bond with the XII I could always trade it in the future, or sell it for a decent chunk of change.

That bass vi is amazing!! Can it actually sound as thick as a bass though? I want one but that's what always throws me off, I mainly hear other people using them for clicky clacky sounds rather than copying a normal bass.

Thanks!
This one sounds SUPER thick, run it through a 200W ss Ampeg Micro VR and two matching 2x10s. Not quite as full as my Reverse Jag Bass but that thing has dual HBs and big fat strings and lower tuning so that was expected. NEED to try it out tge VI with some 15s!

EDIT: oh my god there is a second video where this pedal sounds exactly the same.....

Those videos didn't help very much for me personally, though it did sound surprisingly excellent for softer styles of music. That guy is an excellent guitar player and records high quality clips, but he plays the exact same rambling stuff over and over again.

The XII's have always put me in a trance. I guess if your Mustang isn't quite the guitar for you, why not? Like you said when is the next time you'll get to own a XII, and you can flip that shit like whooooooa

Snagged that SeekTrem from b/s/t. I had honestly never heard of it, but I watched zvex's demo of it and I'm really excited to play with it. It seems like one of those pedals that you just keep discovering new sounds with!

Been GAS'ing for one of those Korg Kaoss Pad 3's. Now to figure out if it'll play well with the signal from a drum machine...
