nice man…where did you find a 50w from…i haven't seen those at all…only seen the 30w combos and 100w heads
And Skip…congrats on the 5k…one hell of an achievement
Guess the cap'n and I are amp bros now? Except his has better looking knobs...
I need to look where you're looking. We get a decent spread over in the states, but I haven't seen enough 100W ones to feel confident on these prices coming down. The 50W has a great sound, I just wish I could figure out this whole "headroom" thing. Do I get better rolled off cleans at higher volumes in general?
...I think it just occurred to me that all extra wattage will do will give me more volume before break up, not necessarily better cleans. Someone school me here please.
Anyone figure out tricks for GC used stuff? They want to charge me $40 shipping and $30 sales tax to have the cab shipped to my location. Any clever ideas, I don't have anything to trade up on, and even with that I'd be losing money somewhere. Hard to haggle over the phone. My only other idea was to do some tricky business at the local one and get them to ship it for me with some kind of discount to cover the out of budget expense...

It makes me wonder if Jon is a Targyrean as well...
Re the Sword: I saw them at soundwave on a half hour set a few years back and thought they were ok considering it was 40 in the shade that day and they would have just stepped put of the American winter. Friends of mine saws them in the states not long afterwards and said they just looked tired. Too much touring?
Shit, never thought about that. They never clearly talk about who his mother was. Would be an interesting twist if he is tied to another one of the big families.
I'm Pretty sure they do.... You should reread the books. I should reread the books, for that matter.
Also I'd be fucking miserable if my day job was being forced to travel and play songs by The Sword, too.

Isn't it quite heavily implied that he's Rhaegar and Leandra's? It's stated really early on how Arya looks EXACTLY like Leandra, whilst Catelyn whinges later on that only Jon looks like a stark out of Ned's sons.
I might've missed that. I could see that since they make a big deal about how much Jon looks like Arya.

I still haven't finished the fifth book yet. But I do think I will go back and reread the first three at some point. You recall any details on his madre?
And well played

I'm pretty sure it's kind of wink-wink nudge-nudged his parents are Ned and Leandra? But I haven't read the books in probably a year or so.

yah John, 6x6550s
i worked for Crate when this amp was being made...the power section/clean channel *is* an SVT classic - that's why i got it. Gain channels are modeled after the jcm800 and SLO...dunno how much i'll get into them, but maybe so!

Boxman, how does your amp take pedals? My guitarist just snagged that AOR 100 watter on ebay and I'm curious how sweet the clean channel is gonna be.
