Hey, my name is Matt. I'm really into shoegaze, post-punk and psychedelic music, although anything with a bit of reverb and fuzz peaks my interest. Favourite bands include Brian Jonestown Massacre,The Horrors, A Place To Bury Strangers and Die! Die! Die!. My favourite guitarist of all time would have to be Rowland S Howard. I run a weekly radio show on my Uni's radio station called Some New Kind Of Kick (Check it out here if you're interested: https://www.facebook.com/SomeNewKindOfKick ). At the moment I'm in my last semester of an applied maths degree. I have an addiction to fender offsets and oddball Japanese guitars.

Welcome new fuzz duders! To quote the man, the myth, the legend...
Bassus Sanguinis wrote:Welcome all You new guys, hope You like it here as much as I do, it's fuzzy, furry, and often damn funny too in here. :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:

JUST DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE. That's the key rule of ILF, and its been respected around here. Failing to follow the code makes the regulars (the owner, the mods, and the old geezers around) exchange looks, You know. Be good.

That's the most important thing. We've come by with next to no moderation around here on ILF, but I believe the past year has proven we might see changes in future if spammers, haters, shitstorms, and assholes mess it for us.

Compared to other gear forums this place is the Wild West and we've liked it that way. Speak up Your mind. You don't necessarily have to be civil about it either but mind being rude AND not cool/ not ILF, and also respect the brotherly fuzz love or GTFO.
NSFW: show
nsfw tag is for what people might not want to open in their browser with possibly curious eyes looking over their shoulder. Yeah.

AND ABOUT SPAM!

Spam threads... If You have a fuzzy biz, don't spam, wait a bit and soon enough Your new friends will do that for You. If you feel like advertising, do it in Your sig. Or contribute, be loved and get away with it - in the shark tank. ;) Ask Tom or the mods if feeling uncertain.

If it's a hobby and You feel like selling old stuff not used anymore go directly to B/S/T. Be fair, don't betray others trust, don't fuck around other peoples threads, play nice, and no one gets the ban hammer.

Enjoy. Make friends. And loud noises. Contribute. Be ILF :ilf:

Yeah, it's basically a copy paste of a welcome post I've posted before but so fucking what?

Hello everyone, new guy here.

Some quick information about myself:
My name is Finn, I'm a 19 year old student from Holland. Ever since I discovered the bands Herder and Conan I'm in love with all things doomy and fuzzy so that's why I turned here. I hope to learn a lot about pedals and amps and all that stuff because it is all pretty new for me.

As far as amps go, I'm currently rocking a Solid State (I know, I know...) Randall RG1003H along with a 2x12 with Eminence Governors. Sounds OK to me but there is a great lack of fuzz... Have to work on that soon but being a student means money is short, unfortunately.

Well, that's about it.

Cheers! :joy:

Randalls are supposed to be decent amps, you could probably do a lot worse with tubes in.

Welcome everybody!

Hello everyone.

I am a fully grown adult man who has been playing since 1995 but has lapsed dreadfully in the last ten or so years and is desperately trying to make up for lost time. About ten years ago I used to post on another place which was fun, was a nice place to buy/sell things and made the working day go faster but it seems to be dead now and so I found this and it seems to be right up my street.

I like Tom Waits and The Smiths very much. Somehow I only own two guitars after all these years and I run them through these fellows into an AC4. I've no intention of ever gigging again or doing anything serious other than improving for my own enjoyment so it does me pretty good now.

Yay!

Hi folks!

I'm Mike, I love to play guitar with fuzz effects but I thrive when its coming from my own DIY circuits! Since I found so many information on the net I have build tons of pedals but also some tube amps. I like the idea of sharing information so I'm here to learn and help to the best of my skills.

cheers :thumb:

hey all!
I'm Jon and I'm from Boston. I make my own effects pedals and modify/repair amps, effects, and other audio equipment in my spare time so I've been looking for a place to exchange ideas and talk about projects. I play mainly guitar and been playing for about 12 years. Musically I'm into noisy-bluesy-garagey type stuff but I like all sorts of music. Stoked!
