Scored this in a used guitar shop in Tokyo, was an amazing find and a royal pain getting it shipped back home since the airline had some policy about instruments not being allowed on planes without being checked-in. Yeah those are pink strings on it, the new DR neon ones. :D

I sold my Telecaster :(
And bought a Jazzmaster :)

I'm thinking of doing a conversion-scale Tele neck type dealio with a JM body, chopped cold rolled Tele bridge and a few single coils (inspired by a Bass VI) for a next guitar.

Tone-wise they are only slightly less bright than the Slinkys I'm used to, but this turned out to be a good thing considering how bright the rest of my rig is, it balances very well. Feel-wise, I wouldn't say they feel exactly like non-coated strings, there's still a bit of that plastic feeling but not enough that it bothers me. Plus how great does it look! WTB black light.

Here's my LP Custom, I've posted it before but I recently tracked down some silver speed knobs (thanks Japan!) and it looks way snazzier now.

GODDAMN

I loved it the first time around but up close it's 10x better! Best-looking LP ever? I think so.

the G&L tele gets the most play, followed by the gibson dc, then the baritone.

The look is a combination of sanding, light burning, scuffs, refinishing, and mismatched/missing parts. The paint job part was done by someone else though so I can't take credit for that.

Also when I first got it I think the horns had been sanded somewhat to have a slightly more pronounced shape.
