The AD4096 is superb, but pricey. If you're in love with delay it is worth every penny. Actually, I think they are sold out everywhere, and EAR is not currently making them.

AD4096 is indeed an amazing piece of kit. Naturally it depends on what you want from a delay - for me it's perfect. It has got everything I want, and nothing I don't use. Galvar told me that they'll be releasing an updated version soon.

Awesome. I hope they start making the Gristlizer again too. Hopefully they retain the snazzy look. They are very handsome pedals.

They're moving it to Eurorack. They sold out of the advanced pre-order at the $255 mark. The tabletop and stompbox versions have been discontinued.
EA also claims they've got other pedals coming in the future, but they haven't exactly been speedy with anything, and their site is rarely updated. I wouldn't hold my breath on new pedals in 2016.

Compressors are cool if you want less dynamics (piano-like). I would still have my Walrus Deep Six if it wasn't as noisy as it was. Works really well for ambient stuff. Keeping your freqs in order, so to speak.

I've always felt like compressors are like a nurturing mother of your frequencies. I want to destroy them.
But I guess at some point I'll grow up and realize that my sound would probably benefit from one

Same. You know it's probably for the best, but you don't want to commit to one.

fuzz pedals compress your signal. In fact all distortion does, to some degree (massive oversimplification I dont give a fuck)

You can't play dynamics of a piano now?

That reminds me of this one girl I knew that would make the joke that she wanted to make her hymen vibrate and sing to her like a cello...
She was a fascinating person.
