Save the money. You're going to need it when you go to the university.

Take the money you think you're going to need living on your own and times that by 10. And you can add more on to that if you're going to be in a city, and if you own a car. It sucks, but if you don't screw yourself over now you'll be set later on.

Also it will be there to spend if you won't be needing it. But I should be the last person preaching about responsibility. Damn, I'm on a spending spree.
:!!!: but also

I'd say, do as you please. If it doesn't work out for you living alone there will be parents/grandparents/roommates to ask for money if need be. Also there can be work while studying. It's all a matter of balancing gas, pride and time.

basically i got those 600, tomorrow i'm gonna get another 50 from my part time and if everything works well i could gain well over a grand during summer.

I plan to work while studying, no doubt about that!

i also plan to buy a guitar (some fender offset or a Reverend or Eastwood Sidejack DLX, nothing superfancy)

and there are also some wild plans with my tele and combo (conversion to a baritone and converting said combo to head) but those are totally out there in the future under lable 'wild ideas'

whatever... if any crazy deal pops up i might consider buying, but i won't go on a spending spree just for the sake of spending
