Seriously? You could try out a pedal (if the store actually has what you are looking for), but you won't necessarily know if it will work for you unless you try it with your rig. But who's going to bring their guitars, board, and amp into a store just to try out a pedal. If you do find one you like it doesn't mean it will work in a band situation. I rarely try things at stores. I'd much rather run things through my own setup at home where I can more accurately tell if it's right for me.
