RE: Clean blends and bassist/drummist band setups.

Behndy; have you ever considered going with a stereo setup. One rig for the cleans and another rig for the fuzz?

That's what I would do if I were in such a setup. Roll with two of those lite power amps like you like to do and have one power a set of cabs with the clean tones and the other run a set of cabs with the dirties. Use something like an LS-2 to have split your signal.

Perhaps develop your chain so that toys like delay and filters run to both amps and your dirt runs to one amp,...or you could make it so that delays, phalanges, chorai and such run to both cabs for dat stereo effect and dirt up on one stack.

Just sorta thinking out loud.

I put an Epiphone Les Paul Custom on CL. Got a hit for a 98 MIM P bass in CAR. Thinking about doing it but the white pickgaurd has got to go.

Here is the offer:

The guitar is worth about $300 to me in it's present condition.

I'm looking for a project. Thinking replace the pickgaurd with a black one. Throw the more typical steel knobs on it. Throw some hot ass pickups on it (1/4 pounders?). Replace the bridge, tuners, pots. Clean it up a bit and throw some CKS strings on it. Thinking I might tune my 5 string standard and tune the P-Bass to C# standard.

right now i'm running a two output board, but it's split along kinda different lines. there's a buffered y box with a footswitch that runs Output 2 on and off, Output 1 is always on. so it's....

Output 1 -> Heavy Mecha -> B3k -> Faye Sing -> Source BEF -> BugCrusher -> Organizer -> PPB -> Possessed -> TimeLine -> M9 -> Nimbus -> Rusty Box -> Channel 01 on the power amp -> GS213

Output 2 -> Ditto -> Super Ego -> Oxide (replacing with a Durp Charger) -> Pitch Factor -> Micro FET Preamp by Danno -> micro Behringer mixer on the keys board -> mixer goes out to Channel 02 on the power amp -> pair of GS112's

it's a little different than you're talking about, but it makes more sense to me to have a drone/arp/loop section that the keys stuff goes out the same spot and then a section that's my regular board. i finagled some and jammed it all onto a Pro so i'm super happy about lugging one board, not two.

stereo stuff is fun but.... meh. too much work. and i like the idea of balancing a clean signal from one amp with a dirty signal from another, but that's something you have to do room to room. i feel like i get the toanz i want out of a good fuzz with a blend, and it's a setting that stays pretty consistant in different spots. don't have to work on the balance and shits?

I understand the business suit; but why is a he carrying a package of hot dogs?

Because I do door-to-door sales for Oscar Meyers, duh!

Also that Mexi P, I would say $250 if you can swing it for that, especially if you plan to put a few dollars into it.

I see mexi Ps selling on eBay between 350 and 400. I have no emotional attachment to the Epi LPC. I'm cool with a straight up trade methinks.

you shouldn't have to change out all that stuff. the tuners and pots on MIM Fenders are quite decent.

High output bass is high output. SO I fucking LOVE the Roscoe. OMG the tone is amazing. Seriously. Has TONS of growl, which means I almost don't need an OD. I still want one, but right now the Elements is covering the OD side of things. My only issue is the amount of bass from this fucker is causing my cab to act like a weak little bitch. It seems like it almost can't fucking handle that shit. Especially if I kick the Xerograph on or the Second Voice Deluxe. I...I think I need a better cab or! If anyone has any other suggestions. Would an EQ pedal help? I mean I play around with the basses pre and the amps eq and get to what I dig and it's just over-driving the fucking shit out of my cab. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo yea....help?

If you play with the Amp s EQ and the pre on the bass, an EQ pedal will fuck that up. Either turn down the volume or get a better cab or get a highpass filter to take out someof the bass.

Yea I turn the volume down, it's just annoying because depending on the pedal I'm using, it makes drastic tonal differences. I was going to look into a new cab awhile back anyway. Any suggestions? Reasonable ones. Meaning not 1000 bucks for a cab. LOL

This is something which I've been meaning to do myself. There can be a lot of sub bass being transferred by your signal chain that your cab is trying to reproduce that its physically unable to do, this can cause overall bass response to be flabby and at worse kill your driver. The worse your cab is the bigger of a problem this can be. Things like a Xerograph or 2nd voice are capable of a lot of low end.

There is a guy on TB "Fdeck" who is making a few different versions.
