he's weird. i had some really fun, pleasant conversations with him about some custom weirdness. then he started getting flakey with everybody, he didn't answer my email asking if everything was a'ight, then he FINALLY got done with a friend's custom switcher/looper/beast box, it was missing a key component they'd talked about and it took like 3 or 4 back and forths to get it right.
sooooo.... i dunno. i wouldn't call him a DOUCHE. he seems like he's a nice guy. but he doesn't stay on top of stuff, so he's not really reliable.

I see you're point, but there's no excuse for poor business practises. If you can't get your shit together you shouldn't be talking folks' time and money. You can't deal with customers, orders and deadlines reliably? Make stuff, sell it in batches on etsy, ship it pronto. Done. With so many great builders and companies I don't see the need to put up with disorganised dudes disguised as pros. For all I know the dude is awesome at life, but there is a difference between being rad and having a rad business. Douchey business is douchey.

Playing just my guitar for a week as reignited some ideas I have for playing solo stuff. Even though I am just bearly a beginner it has been a lot of fun, I want to get back home to plan and play with my exsisting set up.
Still torn about what my current needs are, I don't want to spend the money on a power supply or amp attuniator but I REALLY need both in order to play more consistant at home.
GASing for just about anything that is new and I don't currently have. Really hoping I can get in on that ILF SDD but if not, no big deal.
Top of the list is a three way tie right now between a syle unimon/ab synth DLX / lab ratchet.

So, I'm borrowing Behndy's RRR, and flying back from SF today. Fun fact? TSA didn't care at all that I had a little metal box filled with wires in my carryon. Weird.

I've always thought that if I flew with a stompbox they'd bring me into a shady back room under a really hot lamp and interrogate me or something.

i carried a pedalboard onto a plane to NYC to go that aweeeeesooooooome ILF meet up. they fucked with me HARD. took like an hour i. security, they wiped everything down a bunch of times, searched me all over and under and in. i got to the gate 5 minutes after my flight was s'posed to leave and they DID hold the plane for me, which was great, but they old me there were no more overhead compartments so i'd have to check my pedalboard and the bag with my ipad and a laptop in it.
urm. no. calmy explained i paid for the same amount of storage as everybody else on the plane. grrL was kinda bitchy but i talked them into putting my board into the storage closet and letting me but my bag under the seat in front of me.

I've never looked as hard for a pedal as I have for the Malekko ekko 600D. I'm checking five different websites multiple times a day and drawing a blank every time.

Have you ever considered an 8 bit duck? It's a simple bitcrusher ped that rules. great for bass too!

iiiiii.... have not. those ARE mad interesting though. thing is, i'm way more a fan of sample rate reduction than actual bit crushing. on bass at least, it feels like true bit crushing has kinda a limited range of Sounds Good Yare. on drums or synths? SO GOOD.
this thing looks neat, hopefully they did a good job stealing someone else's circuit. i get home soon to plaaaaaaay with it.

Just got in:
EQD Hoof (ahhh good fuzz! So versatile!)
EQD Ghost Echo Reverb (ahhh awesome reverb!)
Malekko Lofi E616 Analog Delay (ridiculously awesome delay! straight analog delay sounds great and the modulated delay is so warble-y and weird. So many sci-fi sounds at my fingertips)
- Seriously loving all three of these pedals. They all do exactly what I was looking for.
On the wish list:
TC Electronics Ditto Looper
EQD Speaker Cranker
EQD Bit Commander
Blackout Effectors Whetsone
60s single pickup Harmony Bobkat (trying to score this on kijiji, but the seller isn't responding

)
Recent realizations:
My Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom compliments the EQD Hoof fuzz so well. Throw them both on (playing Hoof first, into the Bloom) and you get such a fat, full sound.
My Tonebutcher Pocketpus makes soooooo much more sense on bass. Still beyond fuzzy and beyond glitchy but man is it fun on bass!
Soon...

oog. MASSIVE.
hah. so, i like the Mooer LoFi thing. it's pretty cool. i actually kinda dig the teeny little knobs for mix and crush levels, they REALLY won't get bumped and moved. have to hear it at full, loud as butts volume and mid song switching to make sure it doesn't drop in volume, but it seems pretty much at unity.
but. and i don't know if it's more fantastic if it's on all of them or just mines, whatever 4 year old kid that was working on this one in the factory wired them backwards so the (relatively) big main knob is sample rate while the micro knob is bit depth. even though their labels are reversed.
woo!

I should so check this before posting, but where's the fun in that, but I thought the 8 bit duck did sample rate reduction and not bit crushing?

yahpers. looks like it's an analog SRR. i'm a little tapped right now for fun funds, but i might grab one sometime and compare. NEAT.
so far, for a Hundy, this LOOKS like the Mooer will do what i was using the Bug for. the 8 Bit Duck's $150 and it's cute, but... urg. i've gone so far down the Etching Hole that a stickered pedal would freak me out.
eep. Down The Etching Hole sounds like Surprise Butt Sechs On Athe Danny.
oopsies.
