What Devi fails to explain is that she didn't just *not* build the Console. She didn't build the Hyperions or get the shirts made or any of the other stuff either. She did NOTHING to fill the orders for people who wanted to support her.

Devi didn't bother to mention mention the terms of the kickstarter that includes this obligation :
"Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill."

or that the project failed NOT because of inherent risk, but something else

Well, there was an announcement at one point during her "videogame career" that she announced she had been working on videogames full-time since since Aug 2013
which is an, eh, interesting timeline to say the least

Also didn't she donate a shitload of money to the feminist movement? Not that there is anything wrong with donating to causes that you believe in, but owing large amounts of money to backers then doing that is a bit of a fuckyou in my view. I donate to various causes but I'm not in debt.

Not a shitload at all. She donated $500 to one person, who works on feminist issues in gaming.

I'm an invalid pensioner. $500 dollars is a lot of money to us. I can't remember the last time I had that amount of money in my hands. I suppose everyone has different ideas of what a shitload of money is.

IIRC it wasn't a "fuck you", instead she told creditors who had a problem with it "suck my dick" in a video addressing the situation. She went on to explain that she'd probably donate more and "you " (the backers) will never even know
I'm pretty sure she's pulled that video down
