Okay, so getting a MS-20 Mini made me want MOAR, so I'm thinking about getting a little 3U 104HP to sit on top of the MS for even more versatility. My problem is, I know NOTHING about what utility tools I should have, just all the fun stuff. Here are things I think look fun on paper. If you can, let me know what else I would need, don't need, any less complex/expensive alternatives, other modules that would be more interesting etc. Maybe some sort of sequencer thingy? :idk:

VCAs and Attenuators for CV signals. Sometimes you want something a little more subtle, and sometimes you want the wave of god crashing through gear. I'd recommend the MI Blinds personally since it's 4 VC/Offset/Attenuators in 12HP. That and probably a LFO/random CV sources. I'm not sure how much use you'll get out of the Erbe-Verb, I'd get that as the last module in this whole list. Yea it does awesome reverb, but you do have an Eventide Space.

Eivind: you sure did.

StrangeTales: Thanks for the input! I don't like things that are random too much, but I'll check it out. I don't have a Space anymore either, and the Erbe-Verb sounds amazing. It was actually the first module I thought about getting after the English Tear.

UC: a mult -or- some stackcables. I agree with everything StrangeTales said, Blinds would be great. I'd suggest a look at the Xaoc Batumi and Mutable Kinks also.

Also don't h8 on random, you'll find ways to use it.

I agree with everything everyone has said as well. Also the Xaoc Samara is a pretty sweet CV utility. And if you're not a huge fan of random, you could get something pseudo-random like the Turing Machine

Depends what size rack you're looking for. The Make Noise Skiff is about half that. And the Tiptop Mantis cases are supposed to be inexpensive. I believe they're sub-$500

You could also consider a Happy Ending Kit if you're going to be using it at home and just want to test the waters.

Also November your BST has me looking long and hard at my 4046. Just sayin'.

well, I plan on getting a Mother32, so I thought mother32 + 3,4,5 modules.. I don't know the technical terms so I have no idea what I'm looking for but yeah I guess two rows just a little bit than the mother32..
If I'm right I would need a powered rack or a non-powered one with a power module ? I'm lost

If you're only getting a couple of modules I would recommend the happy ending kit. :)

I also have some cheap cases available in my BST thread as well.

Ah you're not the first person to run into that. Apparently USPS doesn't do First Class with packages over 4lbs. Shipping for someone else in AUS was $99. Crazy.

I mean let's be real I'm pretty sure Eivind is the only one who has been left immune to modular gas.
