Not sure about the 5881...never had them before, but i can say that the KT66's are a lot smoother than the 6L6's i had in there before and there seem to be more high/low mids now as well and the highs are not as harsh. Interestingly, i now have presence and treble turned up much more than before and the highs are still not harsh.
That is what I'm wanting to hear. I like the 5881s better than 6L6 because they seem to last longer and they seem to have a little more clarity to them.

Well, if you aren't a fan of Relapse, Torche's last two labels have gone out of business so maybe they're cursed. I like Relapse's roster. And I <3 Torche. I know how a lot of people feel about 'em after the S/T and In Return.
Oh, I love Torche and a lot of Relapse bands. I meant the FFoM part. I mean, they've always been kinda lumped in with them in reviews and stuff like that but now Relapse will officially make it official.

Also this.
Not sure what city, but if you see a dude with a 2nd gen Model T be sure to kick his ass and then send me a pic of you holding the amp like when Simba was born in the Lion King.
EDIT:
Brought my shit home and made a quick little clip of the Ritual going into the Revelation.

^Dat ass....mmmph.^
Nice sounds duder. If I get some spare time later I might put up some clips with the Rev SB and the BF, finally.
Was thinking of starting a "demo your dirt thread", so that if any of us were like, "can x do teh brutes?" or, " will y make me sound like Josh Homme told me his tone secrets before impregnating my face?", those of us with the goods can post it there and offer up the divine knowledge. Also, good for those new peds and one offs we all wanna know about.
Also, the delay in that clip, was that your eventide or the ibanez?
And how do you use your small clone? I've been thinking about bringing mine back to the fold, but I really only dig it for those Kim Thayill or Mark of Cain sounds.
And, in brutally sad news...to me anyway, I have to sell my Floydie Iceman to afford textbooks.
I haven't put it up yet, but if any of you are remotely interested PM and I'll be (not really) happy to fill you in on the deets.

Also, does anyone know anything about PC/Mac recording interfaces?

Sadly, no help here man. Last I heard the Line 6 one was ok for the cheapies.
More dudes here will be better informed, no doubt.
When I was looking, the Mbox (which is now something else I think), seemed pretty cool, and you got a pro-tools bundle.

I have an M-Audio USB one that I've had for a while. Works fine. More often I plug in a Yamaha THR's USB out and use it as a guitar monitor and amp modeller.
If you're going to mic up a cab all the time then any current 2 input interface will be fine. If you need amp modelling then most of the POD style devices have a USB recording out.
For the actual recording I usually use GarageBand on the Mac rather than Pro Tools just because it's simpler and faster to get up and running with midi drums etc.

Are you looking for something in particular?
I have an M-Audio FireWire Solo. Doesn't get much use these days. Also have an Apogee interface that works with iPad and Mac via USB. Isn't so bad for just plugging into the computer when I can't use my amp later in the evening.

A post your demos thread would be rad. The first part is the DE7 but the very end is the time factor on a filter sweep setting(can't remember which one right off). I use the Small Clone as modulation on the DE7. I run it before but most people run modulation after. I'm gonna make a better video tomorrow with more pedals.

I was a bit confused about that. You've been the same lovely soul since that day the Craigslists brought us together.
Did you ever flip my old LH? I miss that cab every day
