check into what the aftereffects of the surgery are. a friend had her eyes done in the early 00s and had to use artificial tears in eyedrop form to keep her eyes hydrated. she said that if she had it to do over she wouldn't have done it. not to say that the procedure hasn't been improved in the intervening decade, but that's the only data point i have.

dubbz - my mawmz got hers done about 8 years ago, LOVED it. she now has to wear readers occasionally for close stuff, but she said it's just an amazing difference. week of recovery, no after effects. i have a friend that got hers done about a month ago, she has a tiny astigmatism like i do, she said it was a week'ish of bruised eyes from the clamps, it didn't hurt just looked weird. but no upkeep.

eyes might be the smartest thing. fucking glasses have been bugging the shit out of me lately. no matter how i get them adjusted.

hah. i bought this pair of glasses in Tokyo. it was AWESOME when the grrL adjusted them. she kept making them where they rode almost two inches higher than they should. my grrL thinks it's hilarious to chop me across the bridge of the nose and say in wonderment, "your eyes are SAFE! i would be blind.". 'cause of the depth that most honkies have between the bridge of their nose and eyeballs. that a lot of asian peoples, at least Japanese, don't.

i had to explain that in shitty Japanese to the Eyewear GrrL. then my grrL corrected it. and they laughed. 'cause it was her first time working on a honky. and it was neat to learn something new i guess.

My EGC Chessie build is on the home stretch and it's set to replace my Maton BB1200JH. Been meaning to post that Maton for sale awhile now, just haven't gotten around to it.

Good thing cuz I just found a Fender Custom Shop Bass VI in Sonic Blue that I had to have.

Then I traded my Maton for that Bass VI straight up, a total steal on my end. Psyched!
