Damn, as usual you lot are up to all kinds of radness. To much to comment on and I like having listening homework

Spent the day working on the SG12. Biggest issue I had was I routed a standard sized fender cavity for the trem springs. I should have copied the Dillion. I didnt even think about 6 extra strings creating a lot more stretch. So I routed that out and once I got the strings on and tension right.

:doom:

Great success in measuring! It's damn near intonated as is and I have not even messed with it yet. It's not all wired up yet, but I spent about two hours playing it, did a bit of fret work to eliminate the buzz in a couple spots, and played around with it some more.

Literally all that is left to do is some soldering. I'm hoping to have it ready for Fridays show at The Mix.

As for BILF, I wish you all the best of luck! If you recognized mine you know I didn't really try to hard  I'm mostly participating to provide someone to beat. I guess a bunch of people were late entry's but I figured the least I could do was to be an also ran, I think the guys in here would have a blast with my setup but it's not so sexy as far as what people like in the greater ILF word.

Some of them boards were way too busy for my liking. Think Skip's might be my favourite of the lot but could do with some more modulation.

Awwww thanks buddy  I'd really like to put a vibe of some sort in place of the polytune but I haven't found the right one yet, nor had the funds to get it haha.

Got a guy wanting to buy my 2204 but then just got a trade offer for a Hovercraft Andromeda. Should I hit it?

Me thinks no. Dont think they have equivalent value but if you want to take trade + cash to cover it up then maybe.

Fucking around yesterday with the baritone V in Drop G. Just wanted to fuck around with the tuning even tho I do not generally like drop tuning.

I would say no, I know alot of people love their hovercrafts but after seeing gutshots really most of the changes made to the amp are aesthetic. Plus you know you want something more like a Model T, speaking of which whatever happened to that guitar center one with the shipping mishap?

practicing with a drummer tonight.
pretty concerned about him being a total douche though.

he went to school with the other guitarist so my homie sent him a message and it went down something like this.

"these demos are too polished it should sound more like x, y and z." now x, y and z are all cool things but not necessarily have any relevance. it's also a demo track to give him an idea of what our songs sound like. he immediately suggests a bunch of changes to fit with x, y and z.

then he texts my homie a few nights later and suggests that we take the 8 songs we've written and transpose them to play in some weird alt. tuning so that we can sound heavier. but it's not even like a standard drop tuning or anything like that. it's just some alt. tuning. this kid is already on my nerves and i haven't even heard him play drums. he has tried my patience so much already that i'm going to flip out on him tonight.

i get it, you're a multi-instrumentalist but we asked you to play drums. you haven't even played DRUMS alongside us. what makes you think that you're even a part of this band already.
jesus christ. the nerve of some people.
