Those Gibson Voodoo would almost make me buy a Gibson and give up cheap and parts-builder guitars. 'Cept for the price tag.
SLK: Recording of that show = YES.
Will happen hopefully i can get someone to film it instead of me propping my camera up on a chair on the stage like the last 2 times.
also... would buy. most of that. if shipped. :/

I can see the camera just falling to the ground after 1 song w/ four rigs.
If you really want, it's only 45 minutes away. I'm off most of the week this week.

Dude has had all of them on before, and hasn't sold one yet, so you could probably get $ down to the point where the $$ off would pay for shipping. Just sayin'...
Saw a 500 watt Orange Bass Terror on Milwaukee CL. Need me a new job so I can hit stuff like that. Rebuilding a Precision with a Wenge neck / Padauk fretboard Jazz bass neck this week and need some megawattage and a 6x10.
Appleton / Grand Chute Guitar Center has a Sound City 120 for $999 right now too. Made me drool a little. (SLK, you made me hit all the pawns and used shops looking for Ampegs!)

Shit let me think on that. That sounds very viable..
And hell I think i've seen that Sound City as well but via their website there is also a 2nd one up at a different one. Still pisses me off the one I won on ebay ain't going to be added to the collection since the seller is a shitbag.
and hell yea that's how to do it! also do a run through the bass section. that's where in 2 different music shops they had SS150's... they literally thought they were bass heads.

I'm very likely to take you up on that offer grind. Just going to see what this slow ass tech is going to pop me for fixing my Sunn Enforcer that he's had since April... and my Sunn Concert Lead.

No problem at all, only work Wednesday night this week unless I pick up a random one from a call in. If you work something out with the seller, PM me your phone #. I'll go test it out and you can paypal him or work it out. I've got friend's at GC so I can get an ideal amp-shipping box w/o having to build one, but I've done that enough times before too. Good tip on hitting the bass section too, tho the local pawns all mix stuff together. Bought a Korg Pitchblack, but the pawn amps were all dogs.
So tempted to trade my Laney GH50L and Traynor Bass Master on that Sound City 120. I could use the 120 for a bass head, and for any guitar stuff... And still have the VH140C and Randall Cyclone for SS deathstortion.

Tight will do that! and I say trade those two in and get it. You already have a proper idea on how to dominate. A Randall Cyclone is also on my long list of shits I wouldn't mind picking up.

I nabbed that ss in Columbus. Seller dropped the cab and lowered the price little bit, but he accepted my offer, and is offering free shipping to boot. Word. Now I gotta sell off some pedals.

Worth it, plus repair? I know you're a fan, SLK.
if it can be repaired absolutely. I have 3 of them. they are solid as fuck.
Barracuda, fucking nice! i'm glad someone took advantage of that!
Whisky looks like a fender precision bass. mine looks almost exactly like it minus the dead kitten, and mine is a bit more blue than that ocean blue.

Sorta... For the repair price of a tranny (and maybe more), you could just buy a Crate GT3500H (((Shockwave))) instead. Those are easy to find, use an evolution of that Ampeg preamp, sound great, and are stable down to 2 ohms with twice the wattage. The overdrive section of the Shockwave is super pedal friendly.

I'm not a fan of the shockwave. I can't recommend it.

Why no Shockwave love, SLK? I had the GT120HL - the 120 watt version, and kind of miss it. I'd buy a shockwave for the right price. But wouldn't even consider trading my Ampeg or Randall for one... I'd also like to try one of those Orange solid state heads they make now too...
