i've always wanted to try a 15" Hartke with a screaming tube amp like a Princeton or my Laney VC30.

But the Hartke driver is metal, which probably has more high end. I don't know. I just feel it's time to get big boy pants on and actually play that Ampeg head I bought months ago (even though I have no where to play loud at all :grumpy:).

Yeah I feel your pain kinda. I have a big amp and a big cab, but I can't turn up too loud or things will fall off the wall and stuff

The aluminum cone drivers do make the speakers pretty bright, but it's necessarily at the expense of low end.

My hartke head+4x10 makes the floor shake at .5 on the master volume.

Yeah, so maybe a regular 15 won't be bright enough. But my amp has like 7 EQ knobs so fuck it.
& I love making shit fall of the walls. Kick on the Kill Kill Filter and something in my house gets misplaced.

My Swollen Pickle sometimes make me worry about accidentally summoning an Old One with the "crunch" knob all the way to the left.

Also, local GC has an MXR Analog Delay (the green box ones with the AC cord) for like, $220 bucks. I'm tempted but skeptical.

If I sold my dmmtt550 I could eventually replace it with a malekko ekko 600D and a Ghost echo... In my head, this would make the greatest ambient echo the world has ever known. And I'd have zombies, wolves, robots and ghosts on my board... Hmmmm....
