Funny my “vintage” gear was just inexpensive used stuff or old cheap junk when I bought it.
My V4-B was brand and new freaking expensive though. My take home was a tad over $100 a week and I shelled out $500 and change for the head. Friends thought I was insane.
In fact I paid more for the head and cabs than I paid for my GTO.
So I guess it’s all relative.
Funny I paid almost 5 times more for my ‘09 Jazz than I paid for my ’70 and I bought it so I wouldn’t worry about messing up the ’70 if I took it to gigs. LOL.

My main bass was cheaper than my Goatkeeper but I (probably) wouldn't change it for anything.
It was my first bass and almost all of the stuff I've written has started on that (even my big band charts) so there's definitely some sentimental value there, but it plays great and it works for me in every situation, stage and studio.

Just Kidding,...Tyler makes me rethink entering the booteek market,...IE how do you compete with that (along with a lot of other builders out there).

But no I'm planning on flooding the market with BBM and VTB clones. FUCK YOU MUFF CLONES WITH MID BOOSTS.

Look at the BBM this way... they took what people where doing with mods and clones and copied that but made it cheap and where it doesn't really work the way it should. Hell you want to know a better idea? clone a sovtek muff, leave out the tone control and put in a blend/clean vol that would tear the BBM to shreds
