Really a well thought out and well financed Modular could blow away a pedal board but then you be right about mobility, which is why I went Euro because they are smaller modules.

I am thinking about not totally scrapping the Euro idea but instead buying a couple of awesome/specialized/whacky modules. I think I am going to buy one called Phonogene, it is a sampler, looper module. You can cut/splice and do granular stuff with it, then when you add some CV it gets really cool. I could put that at the end of my pedal board in my minicase.

just don't use it. it's awesome, the three things i really dig in it sound GOOD.... but i've already got three multi units on my board. 's already a bitch to juggle those. sooooooo.... love how it sounds, but barely use it. might get one later.

What are your multis of choice Behndy? I like modulation and having options but I'm not sure I like it to Strymon prices.

It's one of those things where the conversation has been so nurtured in my absence that I really don't know how to jump back in.

So yeah,...modular synths,...I'll take 3 and a side of vintage voyager.

I will say that I sold my Bass MuRF to Makisupastar,....and I regret it. I'm probably gonna buy another one,...likely the midi murf, just to be current and to make my first foray into the world that is Musical Instrument Digital Interface.

Also; I feel like a cheater as I've been playing my guitars a lot more than my bass.

Modular Shtuff for me is...... amazing, scary, weird, and.... i dunno. silly? not in an insulting way.... but i started doing electro musics when vst's first started. and having these virtual representations of gear that STILL wanted you to virtually plug patches to each other....

i'm not talking the poo. part of the silliness is my lack of understanding how to do all that, but i like modern interfaces. i get annoyed when something is designed to sound retro, so they give you an awkward interface because then it LOOKS retro. NI is the perfect example of how to do that right. they have a Mad Scientist Lab feel, but it's laid out smart and quick to get around.

i LOVE Battery. Battery and Kontakt are what i've spent the most time with probably. and the 'pad mobile vst stuff.... all the ones i've liked are ones that have tried to use the interface options of a big touch screen without trying to be something that works better in the real world.

annnnnnnd i just got blood all over my phone screen. stoopid thumb cut. i have a bread knife that i have a love/hate relationship with at work. it's so comfy and pretty and useful, but it's got a taste for human blood. MY human blood. no matter how careful i am at least once a month it can't help but take at least a little slice out of me. and the other day i guess it was bored or feeling neglected and it cut my thumbtip down to the nail. thing is sorta scabbed over, but it keeps splitting and bleeding.

i have a see through notch. NEAT.

neat thing is with Prymaxe carrying them they're like 15% cheaper now, no tax, no shipping. HAWT.

i LOVE the Timeline, the M9.... there's stuff that sounds better, but having 6 save spots always clickable, a tuner and a looper.... so worth the space. i just use it for the 4 or 5 things it does well and always leave that page of saves up. and a PitchFactor. i want them to hurry up and put out the H9 though. GIMME.

All that shit is wayyyyy too complicated for me. I can barely handle four strings.
