Get an ABY pedal, feed one line back into the power section of the amp, the other line into the mono input of whatever power amp you want. Something like the Radial Big Shot would work well for that, since it has transformer isolation and polarity flip on one channel, in case you have any noise issues. Opens up even more possibilities if you use a stereo power amp, then you could run your amp as is, then out to two other stacks as well.
There might be a better/more efficient way to accomplish that, I'm just spitballing.

Ohohohohoho ok.
Why would you lose your original power section? Unless I'm being a complete moron right now (total possibility), I see no reason why your initial power section would stop making sounds. At least, no amp I've ever used as a master has ever done that.

he's not using a slave out, but the effects loop out. I'm guessing it has a switching jack so that now it needs signal from the effects return. Not Ideal. It should be a simple manner for a tech to add a slave out.

Chi-town is not that far away--maybe I can con somebody into going to this with me.

Thanks dude!
We tried to set up a Detroit date, but it wasn't meant to be. The Chicago show is going to rule.

I figured it would work out something like that. While I'm on the subject of volume and headroom, what will adding a second 412 cabinet do for me in terms of volume? Is there any appreciable tone/volume difference between daisy chaining cabinets and running them from 2 separate speaker outs?
This is long term type of stuff, though. I have no space for an extra cab or the added volume of some 200W tube slave amp, but if I ever get to the point where I need more of what I already have I'd just like to know how to go about it.

Appreciate all the help guys!

More speaker area will do wonders for your volume.
I haven't noticed an appreciable difference between daisy chained and separate out cabs. My preference is for separate outs just so I don't get confused with ohmage.

Dang, that HM-2 is way out of my price range for now. Maybe next run. No new dirt for me.
Unless, Nick, you've given any further thought to that other distortion pedal idea I had?
Also, UK guys, why you no tell me about the HARK?!
