Wow, awesome boards from pulse. and tjlong! goroth's looks nice too, looking forward to the full shot for BILF!

I had some fun with this lot this afternoon!

Image

First time I've integrated the Particle (that white blur at the top is the particle, I suck at photos!) with the main board and it plays NICE with some modulation after it.

Pist the BEZ Street Sweeper was delayed due to the snow. So I've been making mostly angry yet optimistic noise in anticipation because I'm onto something here:

Image

Saturn V > Tremolessence > WOW Signal > E600B > Lemon Drop > Spring Chicken > '76 Ram's Head > Surf Rider Deluxe > PS-3 > Launchpad

EV-5, EX-P, EV-5 control both reverbs and tremololo's rate. SRD for overall space & drip, the SC's there for swells and sustained harmonic oscillation.

Soon this setup will fit on a PT Jr [sans expression pedals & Street Sweeper], then some custom patches will be made to fit and "go pro" with tidy wiring, the right way.

Soon... :excellent:

I'm enjoying it a lot, still haven't got round to fixing the blend pot because I haven't had time and the mix it's fixed at works fine anyway.

^Nice stuff, and I love the metal grille board!

I can't wait having a Surf Rider Deluxe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
btw, I'd like having the Surf Rider Deluxe and the Spring Chicken LE on the same board too...how does it work for you?
How is the Spring Chicken compared to the Surf Rider???

Yeah I really like it both ways, which is why I've got the Algal Bloom at the end of the chain to be after reverb and wah and modulation, since they all have cool sounds before and after. Wah into fuzz is just SO intense, whereas wah after fuzz is a lot more controllable and chilled out.

Dude that DL4 looks awesome, such a cool setup

The Bitcrusher must have cost a small fortune, is it worth it you reckon? The demos sound incredible
I'm on the wait list for the Revolver, so excite :yay:

Heh. Thanks.

When I ordered the SRD, I suspected it was going to replace the SC. It doesn't, and yet this is not a drawback afaic. They're 2 different takes on the same thing. With the Dwell knob dimed and an expression pedal, the Malekko can be called upon to oscillate at will, and the oscillation is much less rhythmic and choppy than a delay. Lots more harmonic content. It really swells and sustains on a gradient yet has the ability to stop on a dime; and I can time foot action to shave the attack of notes, creating a reverb swell and effect that I liken to the SG-1. That cemented its place in the lineup as the SRD behaves a bit differently...

By comparison the SRD has a much more natural blend and tonal range due to the extra controls. What really sets it apart is the lushness in boost mode, but also how it reacts with an expression pedal. This one likes to see the attack of notes and does not display the SG-1esque effect/ability noted in the SC. Instead it tapers in and out smoothly and much more focused whereas the SC has a bit of chaos on tap at any given moment with the Dwell knob set to max. The SRD has less noise, even in boost mode...and the SC seems a bit whooshy with low range frequencies. I like leaving the SRD on just about all the time, varying its depth from subtle to severe...while the SC is there to create blooming, ringing, roaring aggression.
