Chris Taylor, is hands down one of the best frontmen I have ever witnessed live. He does everything with such passion and conviction that he has straight up passed out on stage from over exertion. And he was hanging from rafters ten years before dillinger

Him, Mike, Johnny, and the rest of the PG.99 crew are the direct reason I learned to play music.

I'm not gonna comment because they'rer personal friends (I went to middle / high school with everyone from PG.99, and Pygmy Lush), but I'm not gonna argue with you either.
I do personally enjoy Pygmy Lush though.
Yea it's all a matter of opinion so it really shouldn't be any argument, ain't like either of us are going to change the other's minds. And it really doesn't matter about if they are personal friends, I have ones in bands that I've told them if I don't like their bands or something they have done. Music is music and friendship is friendship, just because I'm friends with someone doesn't mean they get a pass. And if they are friends with me they appreciate and know my honesty about subjects like music. I'm just saying I rather they spend their time doing things I happen to enjoy more like that they had done in the past.
and CoC's full length is just perfect excellence. and I love Chris Taylor's vocals and showmanship in Malady

Damn you guys all got to the doom from a completely different path than me.
For myself it was ministry (filth pig) and Type O that got me I to it.
I started at pink Floyd than Can, The legendary pink dots, einstürzende neubauten,
and skinny puppy before I discovered ministry and the sort.

Not in a hardcore band currently, but most of the bands I've ever played in were hardcore and punk oriented. A lot of emotive hardcore, last serious project I played in was super Orchid influenced. (not the one playing scion rock fest)
Was always a shitty punk rock kid before I discovered marijuana, sabbath, and sleep.
I did the exact same thing, Pg. 99, Orchid, City Of Caterpillar, Converge, and Black Flag were my introduction into heavy music.
my nigga
also, pygmy lush is great.
I'm always shocked at how pervasive screamo is in heavy genres. It seems like such a niche thing at first, but so many people were influenced by it and continue to be while a huge portion of the scene just ignores it. At least in the hardcore scenes over here, they're too busy acting tough for anything "emotive" to be talked about.
