I would have to agree. I've never played with anything that has such a full and responsive sound and plays so well with everything else. It doesn't like my kill kill filter to much, it makes the best worst fuzz sound ever when they're combinedDarkAxel wrote: it's probably one of the "ultimates"
i have a big muff pi but i find that my amp (peavey vtm 60) gets a better tone for what im doing now. i do love some fuzz though. still holding out for AEN and his Eau Claire Thunder.ryan summit wrote:not TOO FancyCoolName wrote:right now it's nothing TOO fancy but:
Ernie Ball Volume Pedal > Boss TU-2 Tuner > Ibanez Tubescreamer > MXR 10-Band EQ > Boss LS-2 Line Selector > Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
IN THE Line Selector LOOP: Rocktron 2 button HUSH > Earthquaker Devices Rainbow Machine > Boss DD-3 Digital Delay > Electro- Harmonix Holy Grail (the big box one)
but seems fancy enough
im gonna be the first dick to tell you
NEEDS FUZZ BABY!!!

First impressions were a little, "well, yeah... it's an overdrive... it's a bit different... crazy loud... very bright and clear-sounding..."; BUT... frankly, it lacked the character of the Fuck. There's something about the F that seems to click with my Jazzmaster, Bassman and these ears. Anyway, the SuperBolt is my cold, bright, cutting OD (which it does VERY well - and apparently, that seems to be it's character); and the F is my dirty girl... hahahahahahahaha... FWIW, the SuperBolt stacked with the Rangemaster is just BRUTAL in the best way - and with the guitar's tone-knob dialed all the way back, that combo is all kinds of awesome too.
what's the backstory? must be kinda bad...sultanofswig wrote:...not that I'd recommend anybody buy a JHS pedal. i bought it before I knew their backstory. Pretty icky.

I missed the drama too - but got caught up quickly after I got mine. I traded it for a TS808, so meh... I'm not sweatin' it.hbombgraphics wrote:CoolName wrote:what's the backstory? must be kinda bad...sultanofswig wrote:...not that I'd recommend anybody buy a JHS pedal. i bought it before I knew their backstory. not to dig up too much dirt but they have copied some other designs and claimed them as their own
Devi specifically
but most of their pedals are just overpriced clones
I recommend people use whatever sounds good to them.sultanofswig wrote:...not that I'd recommend anybody buy a JHS pedal. i bought it before I knew their backstory. Pretty icky.
