Ugh, now I cant stop thinking "how does it sound" and probably will be until I can try again, tomorrow...

Almost there. Unconnected echo base (w/ a pre amp) is for vocals..

Dobsky Fuzz that I make/sell and a stripped down version of it that I use as a drive.

Yeah I love it on bass especially as the sweeps sit nice and high above the main bass signal. Thinking of picking up a BF2 now too as a mate has one going cheap.

Exactly! I find I still get a similar result on guitar, because the flanged signal is shifted an octave up the sweep doesn't screw with your dry signal too much so you can use it as a more subtle/atmospheric effect.
But then stick some dirt in front of it and you get killer airplane swoosh

I have one or both dirts on all the time so it's all killer.

"Green Russian" special edition from Stomp Under Foot. True v7 Sovtek recreation made from NOS parts but without the questionable workmanship/durability...plus it can take standard 9V power and respond nicely to the Sag knob on PP2+ psus.
Decided I'm not a fan of it with my guitar rig; preferring the jagged bite of Ram's Head circuits...but on Bass it is outstanding. It retains and even emphasizes massive bottom end with insane amounts of gain on tap. And its voicing is just better suited for bass or baritone guitar AFAIC.

How do you like the Effectrode Compressor? Better on guitar or bass?

This is what I've been working with recently. I've got the Ring Thing set really only as a pitch shifter for two octaves down to turn my guitar into a bass. I was pretty unhappy with things a few days ago before I realized my TimeFactor was set to line-level output instead of amp level, it made a world of difference.
Madbean Optocomp -> TC Polytune Mini -> ARC Gamut -> Madbean Egghead Overdrive -> Sovtek Muff -> Timefactor with Aux Switch -> DD7 -> DL4
I'd like to bump the DD7 onto it's own board with the DL4 and replace it with a stereo reverb at some point.
