It is, and I know that. I went through the whole process with my last band, press agent / manager / label; the whole pop music shebang. It's a necessary evil if you want to achieve "stardom" or "place on the charts", but it literally came down to someone telling us that if we basically pay his daughters way through college he'll get us on the Top 40 billboards.

That is the current state of our entertainment industry......

As promised its super secret new guitar day!!!!!!!

Monson Nomad #9

Right when I was pondering getting the OD120 or a Gibson LP standard Brent posted this to facebook at a price I couldn't say no too! I have barely gotten to hold it as I picked it up at lunch but the neck is amazing and all the little touches, such as the perfect angling on the bridge to allow wider range of intonation and to follow the natural angle of your hand when palm muting, to the recessed neck bolts on the back (yeah its a bolt on), make it totally worth it. I'm putting a set of SD Black Winters in it tonight before I plug it in, I pondered BKP's but after talking to a few people I decided to get the SD's for half the price. Overall I'm FUKKIN STOKED. :yay:

And a full frontal pic for you gear voyeurs:

We need to plug it in to both your Dually's. It goes down to 2 ohms! I'm probably gonna blow all the speakers in my 810. Fuck it. Maybe it'll push me to get a custom cab made.

That's pretty cool man. I've only seen those guitars with natural finishes, the flattish black look nice.

Subrosa are cool.

I've officially given up on the Sovtek.
My only hope is that the amp tech I usually see is open to trades for a diagnostic....hopefully a repair.
Probably not.
I am up shit's creek.
Man that sucks. I wish you lived over here and one of us could hook you up. I'm just not qualified to give long distance advice about whats going on.

HOLY SHIT SKIP!

Congratulations, bud. I have Doomsayer 1 and Doomsayer 3 and I absolutely love them. Brent is a true craftsman and a great guy.

Thanks Will! I gotta admit it was your contributions to previous discussions on monson's that definitely made me decide to do it. And yes, yes he is; Communication is top notch, prices are EXTREMELY fair, and the guitars are down right amazing.
