Read the entire thread. Was excited to see 11 pages but then it's a bunch of babble about how many algorithms they could have fit on a chip. Sometimes this place is worse than TGP.

That reverb demo sounds great. Have heard that type of effect before but this seems like it's done pretty well. Have everything they make except for the Haunt. Nice they are adding expression outputs but not something I would probably would use.

Well jeebus fuck dude. If you don't like the sound of a pedal that's one thing but whining for ten pages about how many more algorithms they could have put on is just petulant.

I once suggested to Tom renaming the forum "I Love Petulance". He didn't go for it. :idk:

I mean I read it as a pretty reasonable discussion about components and innovation but tomato, toh-fuck-you, as they say. :p

buy a Nemesis... 25 delay algorithms! More than double the amount of algorithms as selections with the rotary switch. SA only charges $12 per algorithm while OBNE is a whopping $66 and their pedals are only in mono!

I think dude is right though. The conversation has come up here before, and always kinda goes the same way. Both sides have merits, this shit is hella subjective. If a chip can fit 8 algorithms and someone makes 6, and splits them between two pedals, it'll probably push away my desire, but other people might REALLY like those three algorithms, and whatever. I've liked some dumb pedals in my time. At this point i'm basically double teaming the Timebender with Brandsmannen, and i think vintage Boss clones are Behringer's gift to mankind. I'd rather this have been 10 pages with a few more demos and a few less arguments about a chip, but so it goes.

I mean the first three pages were all of us going "eh it's almost cool." so I'm not sure he would have been happy with that either.

How many tight-jeans-and-free-trade-organic-Spin-pedals can fit on the head of a pin?

As someone else brought up pages ago, OBNE is putting more effort into branding and product image than basically any other company. Each of their pedals is clearly designed to have a specific vibe. If they just threw all the old algorithms on there it would hurt the conceptual integrity of each pedal.

Whether or not you care about that at all is of course a different question. I think it can be inspiring, seeing each pedal as a unique module with a specific expertise. I've never played the BQ and I might love it, but what's the vibe? WHATS THE VIBE MAN????
