Counting my pennies has made me realize I will most probably not make it to Trolslo. It's definitely high up on my list.

Fun fact, the beginning of Troll Hunter is filmed right around the area where I live.

My gf and I will be slumming it through Oslo and Bergen next week, anyone recommend some cheap and delicious eating? My gf is really into seafood.

Bergen:
Lysverket (expensive, but soooo good. About $100 for a full course dinner)
Cornelius (all sea food. also expensive, but you can order single dishes)
Zupperia (soup restaurant, but the two seafood soups are amazing. I would go here personally. A soup is about $20, but it's very filling. Plus, it's in a very cosy walking street. Very romantic, wink wink)
Oslo: Don't know. Became a veggie

How long are you planning to go off hiking for? Turns out I can still get much more sensible flights if I stay in Norway for longer

I have time off from 07.07 - 15.07.
Unfortunately I could have booked the plane ticket for less than 100 EUR before but then there was no real plan yet.
The tickets are now moving up towards 200 EUR, it's quite likely that I won't be going.

I believe plane tickets are usually cheaper/cheapest two months or so before you fly out.
In other words, the time is soon.

That's true. Either way ahead of time, or as close to departure as possible, if you're a gambler.
