Got it done yesterday afternoon. Pretty painful at first cause the local anesthetic wasn't as effective on me as planned. Once they got me good and numbed up it was fine. Now I'm just sitting around with an ice pack on my balls. Pretty excited to have this behind me. Got some good drugs out of it too.

My Dr. Was late so I had to get re-numbed
Got one tug in before the re-numbing at it was pretty brutal

enjoy the ice, partial to frozen peas myself, conform better and seem to hold the cold for longer

How much does it cost? Any coverage through insurance?

Mine was covered. I have awesome insurance through my lady's job. It cost me $5 plus $1 for the painkillers. $6 well spent. I think it's covered by most insurance to some degree.

My old insurance didn't cover it but my new one did 100%
I did get a quote to pay out of pocket and it was around 4k USD
It's stupid for an insurance company not to cover given the cost of a kid.
We did have our 4th after my old insurance company refused to cover and I think that costs them at least 30k

oof. yeah. i never asked on uncovered price, i THINK at Planned Parenthood it's $500ish?

but my insurance (Kaiser) covered it except the co pay and another fee, so i paid like $62? hah. my grrL paid as a gift.

you don't want to go anywhere near my swollen, bruised disgusting sack. i think i went back to work too soon. i got it done monday afternoon and went back to work weds night to driving a cab (not doing my construction work), which they said was okay for a "desk job". driving isn't a desk job but i figured that it's fine cause i don't have to lift anything. well, i guess three 12 hour shifts in three days of sitting in a constrained and not entirely comfortable position was too much. it was okay the first two days but after my shift last night the sack is crazy swollen and bruised and tender. it sucks. i really needed the money though and now I've got it so i guess i'm just back on the couch with an ice pack for a few days. it's not too terrible, but it does kind of suck and is pretty annoying. it'll still be a small price to pay for the rewards i shall reap when this is over.
