I obsessively edit text messages, to a much lesser extent than forum posts. Spelling, punctuation, grammar, pentameter...all that shit.

My wife and friends all know that I'm super hammered if they get a text from me with an error in it. I think it's my own version of texting in cursive, like not abbreviating words the way a fifteen year old girl does is the new Latin.
but what are guitar pedals...really..?

The many ways in which I'm weird:

- I get sleep paralysis sometimes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis
- I'm face blind. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosopagnosia
- I'm excessively concerned with precision in definitions, and classifications. I'll often argue with people I agree with over some small flaw in terminology or reasoning.
- I am obsessed with learning new skills, and new information - no matter how useless (I read an article the other day about how to make sugar scrub. I have no plans to ever make or use sugar scrub.)
- I feel calm and purposeful in chaotic or high stress situations, and anxious and unmotivated in easy or low stress situations.
- I will rarely finish a book until I have started at least 1 or 2 new books. Sometimes I will stop reading a book when I have just a few pages left to start a new book.
- I often perform at a high level at tasks the first time I do them and get worse with practice. For example, if I draw something multiple times each iteration will be worse than the previous.
- If I get really drunk I will usually clean my apartment, fold clothes, do dishes, etc. before going to bed. I have blacked out before and woken up naked on a bare mattress, and found everything in the drier having been washed, and everything else in the apartment having been cleaned.
- I don't like sweets of any kind, and have only in my entire life eaten anything sweet a handful of times. I tried some ice cream on my birthday last year for the first time in 10 years.
- I grew up in an Italian speaking household and never learned a word of Italian.
- I like the things around me to all be parallel or perpendicular to everything else, and for edges to align.
- I eat as much as 3-5 average people every day.
- If I sleep more than 5 hours I feel sick when I wake up.

^ I used to get sleep paralysis fairly regularly, from about age 10-17 and then it mysteriously stopped and hasn't happened since. Never saw a doctor about it but i used to wake up face-down unable to move and almost suffocate, or wake up face-up and have weird half-awake hallucinations where shadows in the room would move around. Scared the shit out of me, paralysis is fucking terrifying.

That sucks man. Luckily I sleep on my back so I at least don't have to worry about suffocating. The hallucinations are the worst. I get a vague shadowy malevolent person/thing in the room.

-I'm incredibly anxious all the time, to the point of crafting elaborate escape scenarios/drastically bad outcomes for most situations in my head
-I talk to myself and deconstruct social settings in my head constantly
-I am terrified of conflict to the extent that I'll let situations run until I am physically ill with anxiety
-I depersonalize and disassociate on a regular basis, and often feel like I'm having an out of body experience when looking in mirrors
-I obsess over little things and have a near photographic memory of the most random facts and details about people who I haven't talked to in years
-I pretty much refuse to wear socks if I'm not wearing boots and tend not to wear boots because socks make me claustrophobic
-As of late I'm only attracted to androgynous people (idk if that's actually weird though?)
-I have a constant tic of cracking my knuckles, neck, and wrists
