You guys and your string knowabouts.

I figured those sorts of places would already be able to do VI sets since they usually do custom gauges and stuff. But I imagine a lot of people will have a hard time finding those places just due to unfamiliarity.
Ernie Ball, D'Addario, DR, etc. should have been on top of this already. The Pawn Shop VI has been out for a while. Plenty of other companies are doing similar things. Yet no common companies are selling the VI string sets. Curious.

Personally I'm kind of cheap on strings so I wouldn't feel like shelling out the cash for Circle K's or LaBellas. Or rather go through the effort of ordering a custom set. But maybe I'm just extra lazy about it. Clearly some people know what they're doing.

Labella and EB do have 30" scale 6-string bass sets out.

D'Addario too and they're cheap but gauged 24-84. Meh.

Saw some reviews of the EB sets on OSG stating they don't fit the Bass VI. Suppossedly they're too long and the taper is wrong and won't fit into the guitar sized tuners...

They fit in guitar sized tuners but they have a guitar sized ball. I found them a little too light for drop tuning.

I'm not paranoid about strings, they're out there and NAMM Is coming too.

I'll be happy with the Fender/D'Addario stainless lights, body chemistry gets along with them on bass strings and guitar stuff.

Of course, on bass I haven't changed strings in years, stainless flats don't care.
