I don't care about anything but the sound and I'm in love with it. It sounds fucking amazing through my pedalboard. Now I just need to change the nut and put new strings on and then I have THE guitar.

I'm hoping to try these out this weekend. Has anyone in the DC area found a store that has them in stock?

Noob question: How the hell do you get the tremolo arm to stay put and not fall out?

Push it in. It will go in all the way to the bend, and should be fairly tight. You've got to push it a bit though.

No, you shouldn't push it up to the bend, that puts necessary stress on the teeth and shortens the life of the vibrato.

Just jiggle it in a bit until it rests in place, it will naturally move itself out with use, but that's to be expected. Over time, it will go further and further down itself; once it goes to the hilt, that means you have to take the tailpiece off and move the teeth back into place.

My SB Jazzmaster and CAR Jag arrived - both had MAJOR finish flaws out of the box, so I sent them back. The Jag had some playability issues as well.

In addition to that, both colors were severely off from what they should be. The Sonic Blue Jazzmaster was literally almost the same color as my surf green Jag. The CAR Jaguar, however, was orange - almost a rust color. It was actually really close to the KO finish on the Marr Jag. Kind of cool looking, but certainly not CAR.

The finish blems on them ranged from black flecks (one the size of a pencil eraser on the JM and probably a dozen tiny ones), to deep finish gouges in the Jag - like someone shot it with a bb gun.

Worth noting though, is that the Jazzmaster played amazingly, and sounded fantastic. I can't wait to get the replacement!

My Jazzmaster and baritone neck were scheduled for delivery today. But thanks to UPS being worthless incompetent Fuckshits neither of the packages made it on the vehicle and apparently I can't even schedule a will call pickup for tomorrow because they never attempted delivery and I don't have one of their stupid door hangers. I even paid for two day guaranteed shipping so I'd have the guitar by the end of the week and the weekend to set it up and play. Hopefully they refund that cost. Fuckers. I guess I'll get my guitar Monday.

I hear you on that one - I can't stand UPS.

Not only do they pull shit like that ALL THE TIME, but they also make it take forever for a package to get anywhere. If I could drive something somewhere in half the time myself, they're clearly doing something wrong.

My returns won't even get back to Guitar Center until next week. I'm calling tomorrow to see if they'll ship me the replacements before receiving the returns. Because I seriously don't feel like waiting another two weeks in the hopes of getting undamaged guitars because they fell like using the absolute minimum UPS shipping. :idk:

Yeah, that's why I went with 2 day air instead of the free ground shipping. Turns out it didn't matter though and their website just keeps sending me in circles. For all the shit USPS has gotten the last couple years politically, they've always been completely reliable and it's only the private companies I've ever had shipping problems with. My weekend just got a lot more open, but oh well it's not the end of the world I just felt like making an angry post somewhere because it seems ridiculous that I can't even find a way to schedule a pickup where I go out of my way to get this shit.
