Wow, this is ridiculous. However, I mean in all honesty, what kind of "boutique" pedal all about tone uses chicks to hold the pedals? that's just lame. There is no serious demo, just zooming in on the broad's chest, pretending to show her turning the knob, except I never knew if she turned the knob up or down :idk:

However, if they start selling their pedal stands, I will buy one. Even if it is mostly plastic...

So clicking through TGP... it looks like they have a lot of legal problems from people saying things...

... that seems really... I mean, I'm just saying legal fees shouldn't be an issue on a forum mostly comprised of lawyers.

Legal fees are a problem because they are mostly lawyers and youth pastors.

 It's ridiculous though, surely if you call someone out on their fraud they don't have much of a case to sue? And are the admins even responsible for what people say on the board? :idk:

And when will ILF get legal problems for this topic?

They won't bother because they know we're too poor for them to get anything.

I'm no legal expert, but I don't really see how legality comes into play on TGP's end or how they would be responsible in any way. I mean, you can't even copyright a pedal in the first place unless you had copyrights on every component used to make it.

I think they just want to avoid the shitstorm.

Just read through this thread. I definitely LOLed hard at a few comments. Especially ones about the fat guy.

This one was the winner, though:
plhogan wrote:That whole video I thought the fat guy was dead and someone offscreen was moving his arms and legs all Weekend at Bernie's style.

I laughed so hard, a little poop almost came out.

I had moderate the FSB thread (all of the nasty/funny stuff has been moved to the main "catfight" thread), so I'm aware of the situation, it's just funny to see how different forums react to revelations like this.

FYI, I do believe that Akai licensed Biyang to make their line of pedals.

I found the Joyo Octave Fuzz relabeled as a 'Valco; The Stooge' fuzz pedal, and other Valco-Joyo rebrands too, sold by myrareguitars/ Eastwood guitars. Not for Freekish Blooze prices tho.

Agree that the Akai situation is slightly different because they aren't marketing a "handmade product" but you would think that they would at least have gotten an exclusive for the parts so that you couldn't buy them for 40% on amazon from biyang. It still tells you that you are paying mostly for markup and marketing and not for actual product.

they've got a scam spiel for everything. if the discussion on TGP had continued they'd have started talking about supporting their poor granny with Alzheimer's and they'll have to lay off the black dude who paints the enclosures and what are you, RACIST?
