idk, maybe i'm a bad person but all I could think was "what the hell does your momma have anything to do with Vietnam?"

The dude has quite a few problems from what it sounds like.
This is all so strange that it took place about 30 minutes from where I live.

god only knows the truth with all of this, but really what it is is a portrait of American life we don't get to see very often. Racial tension, the scars of war and how PTSD can truly fuck someone up for life, the way the internet reacts en masse to something like this... I'm actually fairly amazed the mainstream media has paid no attention to this--speaking as someone who took a couple years of journalism classes, personally I find it to be one of the most fascinating, multi-layered and sad stories about our culture and history as a whole to come around in a while.
You could write a book about this shit. Seriously.
There in lies the rub. people don't read or watch news... the watch E! and whatever reality du jour is being supplied.
