I recently picked up a used IdiotBox Power Drive (Colorsound Power Boost/Overdriver type circuit)
and it makes loud pairings with other pedals. Sounds good with the Muff-based Barber Trifecta I have.

As standard for Power Boost/Overdriver circuits it has treble/bass tone controls, but also has a
master volume knob as well as gain and a Voltage knob that can take it from 17v to 3v.
