I fully claim all out of loopness. Been way busy lately and traveling back and forth a lot.
I meant to message you Chank...can you ask John to confirm which pedal isn't supposed to be chained? Cause the box is for the Low Volt...but the Pendulum wasn't working unless isolated

I'll ask John.

It's weird to say this but the Kay fuzz was my favorite out of the lot. So much so that I will buy one. My only gripe with it is how loud it is when you engage the diode. So, I just don't. It sounds amazing that way, but I dunno. I use all isolated stuff as well, so I've run them all together. It's still my favorite and the price is right.
Should I shoot a little video or anything? Chank, I'll PM you for deets on where to send them on to!

Jwar, def record something! I will agree and say that the Kay was my favorite,& I will be getting a custom one from John at some point.
Not sure what happened to the video I got of these, but I'll try and post my thoughts on each soon.

OK, heard fr. John regarding power for the Pendulum:
Pendulum works on a floating +/- and ground power scheme. It needs to be an isolated tap.
Updated the OP.

Thanks for all your patience.

We still have yet to hear what Jero thinks as well.

Kay - Best superfuzz type thing I've tried I think. A little mellower and more controllable. The low toggle is killer. Nice and beefy without getting overly woofy or dark. I dig both diode settings, but be ready for a jump in texture and volume! Totally planning to get a custom from John with the octave on a stomp (would work great with how I'd set it).
Pendulum - Really Loud. Interactive controls. Filtery and squelchy. Cool, but not something I ever see myself having. If you want the sound of an osc fuzz that doesn't have to oscillate, maybe check this out.
Fuzzrite - Seems to nail that sound! Nice variety of depth with the toggle. Can add some oompf without sacrificing the bite. The custom knobs are dope. Would love to try the GE version.
Low Volt - I honestly played this and the Pendulum least. It sounds great, just diff than I expected I guess? Would probably rip through a slightly dirty amp.
...unhelpful and vague, sorry

this all perfectly cromulent, Jero

i really like that description of the Pendulum, actually
it's funny - a couple of years ago I was all about the squelch; now I'm much more into crispety bite.
think you'd like the Basic Audio take on the FZ-1.
idk, i didn't expect the Foxton to move my needle at all, then I was all "gotta have it!" no regrets

it was the half-gain switch that got me
Dot is the perfect melding of Si and Ge Fuzzriteness (duh), but that was another surprise to me.
curious to see what I think of the Low Volt - I really wanted one at first, before...the change.

I'd certainly be into trying fzWON. Slant enclosure is hot too...That Foxton is a real nice piece! Half gain is great on there, for sure. I think I prefer it in that mode.
You'll like the Low Volt me thinks
