The Dimarzio D-Sonic is so sick, I’d highly recommend those.

Ended up going for a Bareknuckle "True Grit" humbucker. These are somewhat recent and not much more expensive than a SD SH4 in Europe. We'll see if it fits me!

I thought it was supposed to fit the guitar!

Got the pickup, installed it, it sounds great, though my gripe with it is that it is pretty much an overpriced Seymour Duncan SH-4, or at least it feels and sounds like it. If you’re on the fence for those, you might want to just go for the SD. The price difference is pretty small in Europe (15 euros), but I wish there were more reviews out there so I could have spared myself that amount
At least I can get my Maiden on and try and climb my way back to my teenage shred levels
