I *know* his first name, at least what he volunteered in PMs after we got off on the wrong foot when he first joined--I quickly reached out to apologize for being kind of a dick, realizing he has some kinda overlapping STEM-tier tism tendencies and gear taste (both) aligning with my own.
Seemed cool about the whole thing, good vibe from there although I fully get why he grates on nerves and maybe that's part of why we wound up getting along after all. Still, never pried into his biz so idk what's the scoop no soft snitchin, but I do know he fell into the euro/modular money hole which is a game of mousetrap I'm not trying to play anytime soon, and anyway I figure he'll emerge at some point with a rip van winkle beard. Spammed his sizable collection image by image in the GAS thread, for days. Kind of silly and amusing but also deeply annoying! After that he settled down a lot and became pretty chill. He still posted a lot of great pics I wasn't interested in but it's a free internet.

Dude, there were a ton of people trying to get him banned at the same time when he first got here. lol. Poor guy. I think we all just didn't understand his eccentricities.

I do miss his posts. He's a good guy.

From the looks of it, unless he's lurking, he hasn't been on here in almost a year. That sucks.

It happens though. People just disappear on ILF and sometimes they come back years later, sometimes they don't.

yeahhhhhg i mean. he seemed like a decent human type person, but fuck ME. i ramble a bit. but for months i just didn't look at any of the threads he liked. especially Gear Whorery Purchases.

He must've had his "initial" and/or "bad" periods when I had one of my longer breaks from ILF. I do miss having a dude around always posting (ridiculous amounts of) steampunk looking gear I'd never heard of though.

Like, in the beginning his posts were interesting to see. It was like an encyclopedia of crazy weird and pricey gear that was damn interesting to see.

However, my boner can only take so much. Once the GAS thread became nothing but him jizzing gear shots all over the place for pages and essentially killing all conversation, I marked him as an enemy just so I could read the damn board.

It sucked, cause he seemed like an ok dude, just a tad socially awkward. But MAN, theres a FUCKING LIMIT boi.

Hope hes doing alright. Was always curious who he was. But whatever.

here's the thing though..... what i've always loved about ILF is the conversation, which he WRECKED, and the fact that yesh i might be jealous of the gear someone had, but i was always even MORE jealous of the musically interesting sounds people made with said gear.

his posts, while interesting to see loot, where just like browsing through internet store pages. he had all the things, but i never heard anything he did with them that made me want to pay attention to him.

again, seemed like an okay, if socially challenged person. but shiiiiiit. who here ISN'T socially awkward as Duck Farts In A Small Pond?
