So are we going to actually do a group buy on this? Because I'm down AF. If there's an actual ledger containing "Down AF" members put me on it.

We'll do a group buy if EQD lets us. Otherwise, we'll have to find a dealer who's willing to place the order.

I guess this's still in the early stages of planning.

I'll edit the OP soon to include a tally of all the people who can make a commitment to this.

+1 for the purple sparkle group buy.

I feel like the ONLY way they'd do this is if we put all the cash together and then someone would have to buy and distribute them. I did this with another company once. HUGE pain in the ass. It would almost be easier to convince a dealer to take this on.

I could just break in and make some myself. :surprise:

The Customer Service rep I was e-mailin' with told me they only sell custom colors through their dealer network now.

So, that seems that's the likeliest route to take with this.

I'm not thrilled with most of their dealer network. (Large corporations.) Unless somebody has objections, I nominate asking these people:

Would it be possible for them to make like 30 Purple Dual Rainbow Machines instead (two-in-one big box (purple w/ pearly white print and sparkle translucent knobs, blinking time knob (+latching/momentary switches (aaand 9-18v andand courtesy daisy-chain output)))?? FX loop/1/2/wet/dry out of course.

Seems like a lot of effort, just to reverse the colors (make the decal white and the paint purple).

You're welcome to buy one of those, K2000, I'd still like one in purple sparkle.

EQD does custom color stuff all the time. Not sure what I'm asking for is any more difficult than what they normally do.

Also, buying a stock Rainbow Machine and then gettin' it powder-coated incurs extra expense.
