As much as an army of rats sounds cool, I feel like they could be a serious liability as a distraction/nuisance against you in combat, but not much of an asset for defense. So I definitely wouldn't take the rats.
My gut instinct says the hunter and 15 wolves against everything else. Neither are the biggest or can do the most damage, but the wolves are pack hunters and there's a lot of them. The hunter is a huge asset if he has a rifle and ammo, because he could pick off or wound the larger predators at a distance. If the hunter doesn't have any weapons there's not much advantage other than as a decoy, but they're a significant danger as a combatant if the animals aren't trying to kill the hunter and they're trying to kill me.
I agree that the Army of rats sounds awesome at first until the basic rat survival instincts kick in, I was leaning towards gorillas and hawks, but I don't really understand enough of the details to make an informed decision. Like is this a sport hunter or some type of rambo-esque survivalist?

Turn this into a Flash based tower defense game and I'll run the simulations.

Then they aren't good hunters.
I'd take the hunter over the rest.
Why? I can communicate with another human and we can find means to dispose of the rest. Plus I could betray him if I needed and shoot him in his leg so the animals would take him out while I run away (Shayne from the Walking Dead style).
Rats would probably go crazy and eat me and that's if they don't have any diseases to pass on to me (which in that amount they would).
Hawks would probably just fly off and eat the rats regardless of who's team they are on, then leave me deserted to fend for myself.
Gorillas would beat off and then most likely beat the shit out of me or create a super race of human/ape people and take over the planet.
Wolves would would also eat me but probably toy with me first. Bitches.
Buffalos would just stand there until shit went down and then run away and leave me to die.
Lions would DEFINITELY eat me, so fuck them.

.
They seem like typical hunters to me,
if you want someone to sit in a tree all day passing up shots until they get a great look at a Buck then I guess you can pick an Upstate NY Hunter. Or you could end up with some guy who pays a team to drive him into the bush and point him at a Rhino or something. Most hunting anymore (and I am not anti hunting) would not offer you much protection.
I almost want to pick the rats just because I know that when their defenses fail at least it will be a quicker death. If the Rats are against you and they break through it's going to be long and painful.

This is a mystical/supernatural situation, in my head at least. I'm thinking a Jumanji scenario. Like the rats won't turn against you. And their survival instinct is trumped by their spirit bond to you. Whatever you choose, their sole mission is to protect you, and whatever is against you won't stop trying to kill you until they're dead
I was thinking old school safari Hunter but for the sake of fairness, let's say modern Hunter. No automatic weapons. Could pretty easily murder you if he's not with you though.
As far as terrain...maybe Jumanji rules? So basically wherever you are now but maybe more trees and vines and stuff

Also I wonder if 50 Hawks could lift a human. If so, thats a definite game changer

I’ll take brains and opposable thumbs vs the field so the hunter and the gorillas.

This information is helpful, I think Army of Rats and Hunter may be the way to live the longest. If you don't have the hunter you could die at any second and never see it coming.

lol yeah they sit in their backyard tree stands pounding keystone and hiding from their spouses. Probably bad examples. See, I was picturing some sort of innate understanding between myself and my animal friends. The rats would know that me and canus lupus were off limits but everything else in their path was to be consumed. Meanwhile the pack and I pose majestic as fuck on a mountaintop before the full moon like a walmart t-shirt, waiting to stalk what ever life remains. How do you even fight 100 rats? You don't. 500 rats? At that point youre wearing a fur coar that's gnawing your flesh away.

"AAAAAWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"

This changes everything, because in a world of magic, I also have magic. So I would choose the rats and the wolves. Then I simply have the numbers and I essentially have a networked supercomputer that responds to both my tactical commands and my general intentions. If I can will an army of rats to swarm a gorilla like a flesh eating tornado and an enormous pack of wolves to coordinate simultaneous strategic strikes against multiple enemies, that's the ideal defense. The slow moving ultra strong attackers will never even get close and they can be wrangled to create blockades or even funnel faster moving, more powerful enemies like the lions into a kill box.
The hunter is merely a Rogue or possibly a Ranger. So while they'll most likely have a ranged attack, it will be slow and low damage, which I'll easily be able to defend with magic or heal, depending on what class of magic user I am.

this article seems helpful
I don't think a 50 hawks could carry off a 200 pound person, partly based on having no way to fly together and lift at the same time. But the weight alone might be a deal breaker.

I love that in this scenario you gave yourself healing powers.

The hawks are definitely an x factor, really depends on a lot of other variables.
We really need character sheets and a multiple sided die to sort this out.

Agreed!
this seems like a game that someone should have invented by now.
It's not an option but I want to add Polar Bears to the list
