If you take public transit/spend more than $300 on travel expenses per year check out the Chase Sapphire Reserve that ss/bs mentioned above. It has a $450 annual fee which sounds crazy but you get a $300 travel credit each calendar year which offsets the cost to $150. Factor in the 100k bonus points at sign-up and 1.5x point redemption within Chase's rewards portal and you can come out on top. I haven't paid for a flight in like two years (granted I don't travel that much) and live in NYC so the travel credit is great.
If you do your research and are responsible with your balance then using credit cards can be pretty lucrative. I have six at the moment and have never paid a cent in interest because I pay down my balance every month.

car/van rentals work towards the travel expenses, i think hotels do and *maybe* airbnb? you can also redeem the points for cash back though you get the extra 1.5x bonus if you use them for travel.

Man $450 annual fee is dick-donk bonkers to me.
I mean my real current issue is that my current job doesn't offer me high enough salary-wise for me to really consider any of these, but whenever I do move over that Sapphire Reserve will be on my list.
Also RE: having 6 credit cards. Isn't that shitty for your score? I always thought the more lines of credit you had = lower score overall.
