They are remaking Hellboy...

The upside to that is that Neil Marshall will be the director. HUGE Neil Marshall fan.
So yea, DC has kind of fucked up over the years. Honestly though, Marvel has just kind of started getting it right. Now that Logan is over, they will reboot the entire franchise. You know it's true. Could be cool, but Hugh Jackman will always be Wolverine.

God damn it.
The newer Superman, Batman, and that fucking joke of a movie Suicide Squad were all sooooooooooooooooo fucking lame I want to scream. I didn't even want to see Wonder Woman because of how lame the movies have been. I'll watch it on Netflix.
Ben Asslick is the worst Batman and actor ever. WHY!! WHY did they pick him!! Bitches.

+1, they even fucked it up in the Arrowverse when they decided "well, we'll just put Supergirl in a different universe and on a different channel then have random fucking interactions that involve universe hopping (also, add yet another Superman to mix)".
The only thing I hate more than fucking around with multi-verse theory is time travel (which is why I started hating the Flash because they did
both).

You can blame Fox for that, though.

They already have New Mutants, X-Force, and X-Men: Supernova (or whatever it's really called) lined up, with Sophie Turner confirmed to be returning as Jean Grey for the latter, and New Mutants releasing prior to that. It's likely X-Force will be set in the Deadpool universe, but that's still at least two more movies in the current X-Men universe, Wolverine be damned. The X-Men movies are due for a reboot, though. Despite having a mostly awesome cast, most of them have been mediocre at best. Days of Future Past and Logan have been the only real stand-outs so far. I do have high hopes for New Mutants, though.

of course, means that Hellboy III needed to be talked about for at least two minutes, so as to keep hope alive. Unfortunately, hope seems to be dashed, as studios aren’t clamoring to fund the film, and as Del Toro finally explained, the home video market that made the first two films so successful has all but dried up. Without that market as a viable fallback, the idea of a studio funding a third Hellboy movie just becomes too risky. It's a sad reality of the business, and of Del Toro's career.
That doesn’t mean that Guillermo del Toro won’t still talk about the project on his own terms, as he stated that he and frequent collaborator Ron Perlman had discussed the possibility of Hellboy III. Though time and time again studio involvement has been pegged as non-existent

True, Logan was good overall, it was a good ending to him and Patrick Stewart's involvement. but now they can just keep going with the
muppet babies X-teens

I haven't paid close attention, is the Legion stuff supposed to be in continuity with the X-movies?

doods and doodettes.
TOM MOTHERFUCKING BRONSON HARDY AS VENOM.
that's the only thing comic related i am moist for right now.
i actually liked some of Watchmen. Super Effeminate Ozymandius was stupid though.
Wonder Woman was a'ight. not great, not horrible. could have been a half hour shorter. fucking Origin Story Syndrome. and her origin story is BORING. at least the one they used.
RIP West. love you.

v for vendetta was amazing except for the stupid rain scene. i never read the book though.
watchmen blew, but the book has a disappointing (to me) rushed conclusion anyway.
logan was like the best comic character movie ever.

i grew up an x-kid though.

They've been waffling back and forth on that. They originally said it wasn't, and the first season didn't tie in in any noticeable way, but there've since been comments from the creators that indicate it
is in continuity and subsequent seasons might tie in more. It wasn't even really clear what time period the first season was supposed to take place in because the viewer experience was supposed to be less about reality and more about David's mental state. The costuming was all very 60s and 70s, but they had cell phones, etc.

Go and read V now, then. That is one book really worth reading.
And Watchmen (the comics) does not in my opinion have a rushed conclusion. Moore takes all the time he wants with his narration.
Both of these are extremenly good books, and their adaptations have been more than lacking, sadly.

Watchmwen comic was amazing IMO. Absolutely one of my favorites. I've never seen the movie out of fear that it'd ruin my image of the books. Sooo yea.
Also V for Vendetta comics are way fucking better than the movie. Can someone tell Anonymous that so they will stop wearing Guy Fawkes masks? Or at least so they'd understand things better.
I have so many comics...I need to get back into reading them.
Almost all super hero or comic movies are shit on some level though. Logan was great because of Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart. Most of the X-Men movies were a fucking travesty however.
Speaking of that, they are remaking Blade as well. Sigh. Goddamn studios.
Hellboy would have been better if they wouldn't have force Guillermo to use so much advertising in the first one. It was literally like one big ad. The second one is fucking amazing though IMO. He's still a force to be reckoned with in my book as a director however. I think everything he's done has been gold.

Marvel can take throw away characters and turn them into a hit with Guardians of the Galaxy while DC takes a legendary superhero and can't get it right with Superman. Still, each has their own good things and bad things. DC isn't all bad. The first season of Supergirl was pretty good, 2nd season started some eyerolling predictability and silly situations. But my daughters like it just the same. My 8 year old in particularly loves Batman, Harley Quinn, Guardians, Spiderman, Supergirl. Brand loyalty means nothing. She just wants kick ass characters doing kick ass things, bonus points if they are girl characters.
