I might have to order it on Amazon
I saw the trailer and wanted to do the same thing.
Fuck you, Netflix.

Chank, go see Only God Forgives.
It'll change your mind about Gosling.
I thought he was a good choice.

My only beef is it doesn't seem so rainy, grainy and noir.
But whatever.
Cant rain all the time.
Insert 90s goth here.

I can't wait to read the articles about how Jared Leto had to get into character for his new role by smearing marmalade on strangers, wearing Cateract contact lenses and telling '30 Seconds To Mars' fan to shut the fuck up in character.
Jared Leto was a good casting choice. :)*

Will try to watch that before this 20X6 comes out. :thumb:

Only God Forgives was basically just Drive with excessive gore and karaoke

I think Gosling is a solid actor and so is Leto. It's the role they are in that is sometimes not solid. I mean, The Notebook anyone??? I mean, come on.

Seriously though, I'm sure Gosling will do fine.

Also Leto is a really good actor for real. He's been in a ton of good movies. He deserves respect simply for being Paul Allen alone, if nothing else.

I'm super excited but also kinda clenched, I felt this way before Fury Road though so maybe I should relax...

I'm fucking stoked. I'm as hard as Jwar over here. Even if it wasn't as rainy and dark as the original, it still seems to have a similar atmosphere. I just hope Harrison doesn't pull a Force Awakens here.

Sometimes it was awkward to watch him in Drive though.
"So you live a couple apartments over, huh?"
*Carey Mulligan holds a very British smile for an excessive amount of camera time*
"....

I kinda liked how those weird moments juxtaposed against the way more violent scenes

Yeah I really enjoyed Drive, thought the awkward bits worked well in the context of the whole movie and character.

Won't watch the trailer but I'll probably see this, it's got a whole bunch of good people involved and the first film and Do Androids... were good. Most trailers just ruin the film though so no point watching it.

I'm thinking this will be amazing. Denis Villeneuve is the director and though most probably don't know his name, he did Arrival and Prisoners, which were both fucking killer movies (also Enemy, which was an odd ball but I liked it a lot). So solid director, solid producer, solid cast. I don't see how this could be a stinker. I think Gosling is a good actor despite being kind of known for stupid shit.
