The Bay is gorgeous and gross, definitely. Loved my time out there, even if I was too busy to meet up with breaux.

Burritos in the mission. If you don't, then you fucked up.

I don't know how you'd do it without access to a car, but heading up or down the coast on the 1 for a ways will lead you to some awesome nature. Redwoods and a beautiful coastline. Like, go to big sur and try to see a condor or something.

JA shut up you whore.

Don't fucking talk to the homeless people there. There are so many dude and if you give out money, they are all going to be hitting you up. Bunch of fucking beach bums everywhere.

There are tons of good musicians, the red woods are fucking killer and that was literally the best part of my entire trip, the pier is cool but smells like sea lion shit because of how many sea lions there are and China town is cool.

So not sure if maybe you went to Holywood and thought you were in SF? LOL.

I don't drink either, so can't attest to that. The sea food is good in that area as well.

Seriously, if you listen to anything on this list, check out the redwoods. It's trippy as fuck to be able to walk through a forest filled with tress that are like 800-1000 years old. I went to Muir Woods and took a bus there. It cost 7 bucks to get in.

This. Hit up the truck outside of the Best Buy parking lot, under the freeway on your way in to the Mission.

Then go to Mitchell's for ice cream.

And what's the place that has the bread salad covered in chicken fat? That was good eats.

If you wanna check out gear go to Real Guitars. A couple weeks I played a rare, Elka 'Dizzy Tone' from Italy. It's a sort of Buzzaround type.

I did a wk in SF after I graduated uni. What a fucking shithole. The locals are fucking horrible.

---The best part of my trip was def the homeless people and the Asians. I palled around with this lovely lady from Hong Kong. She had psychosis, but I didn't mind.

If I had to go back, ROBOTSPEAk would be one of the few places I'd visit again. Haight-Ashbury is a fucking dump however. It's a total tourist trap/cockroach den. Think I walked from SPEAk to Amoeba, which was cool if you're hunting vinyl or rare DVDs.

Had some good sushi in the Richmond and Green Apple Books (Clement Street) was really cool. They had an amazing collection of art and design books, that you'd never see in a regular chain store.

My HK lady friend and I went to a music festival (guess that was Golden Gate Park). It was OK, but not much wow factor. I don't remember anything exotic about it, just a touch of green in a big sea of a grey nothingness.

----As far as public transport, it's cheap and easy enough to get around. ---Avoid it like the plague around rush hour (crowded and aggressive). If you avoid downtown, you'll likely avoid most of the tech bros and trophy-wives-in-training.

Japan town is cool. If you like records, both Amoeba locations are worth checking out (I work at the Berkeley one!). Local music is good, see a show.

And yea, tacos. Get yo ass to a taco truck right away. You won't be disappointed.

I've never been, but I've always wanted to make a pilgrimage to the grave of Emperor Norton.

El Tonayense taco truck that parks outside of Best Buy on 14th in the mission.
Golden Gate Park can be ok to wander through. Conservatory of Flowers in there is nice.
I'm trying to think about whats cool to do there. Lived there for 4 years constantly stoned.
China town smells crazy. El Farilito at 24th and Mission is really good Mexican. Everyone says to go to Pancho Villas on 16th but I think they are bland.
Bernal Heights can be nice to wander around on.

Haight-Ashbury has Amoeba Records and an overpriced guitar store. There's also the Cartoon Art Museum which I found to be pretty cool.

Is Rocker Guitars still there? They had some cool stuff. They always seemed closed though.
